Attack is weaker. A 7 perhaps.

Midfield is better. An 8.

Now about that defense

You successfully upgraded one position while weakening another, and severely denting the defense.

Attack will be weaker yes but with someone like Martial arriving, the overall attack wouldn't look too bad IMO

Midfield certainly looks much stronger in that line-up

Now the area where we would've weakened next season is arguably fullbacks. But let's say if we have Höwedes/De Sciglio for RB and Spinazzola + a real strong LB to replace Sandro, would it look as bad as initially thought ?

Except fullbacks, we more or less would've upgraded or retained similar quality in all other positions.

I honestly believe if Raiola made this comment on live tv, his comment would have been picked up by numerous other sources. It's not like some shitty agent was talking about some shitty player. And yes I don't see why manu would be interested in a 2-year loan deal, and why pogba would do that as well.

We should always have height, at least an option on the bench (Mandzukic) when other things/plans aren't working. It's also an issue of understanding which goes to another concern a lot of us share, and that is the lack of chemistry between Higuain and Dybala. Dybala shouldn't have to drop as far as he does to get the ball, needs to be closer to goal. Watch us though and pay attention to our movement from the defense up to the final third, its usually fine (often slow but it gets there) but once we need to get into the box, if it isn't Costa getting in or Mario hitting the back post on a cross, its an issue. Dybala has the most goals OUTSIDE of the box in the league, at least a couple weeks ago he did.
