Martial would probably cost a lot more than than 50 especially with the interest of clubs like Bayern and possibly Atletico if they sell Griezmann.

Seeing as we've been continually linked to shit fullbacks who wouldn't cost a lot , a free signing being our 'priority' signing in midfield, the possible departure of Sandro who'd boost our transfer kitty, I could see the above scenario being plausible.

But frankly though, if we go all the way to sign a player like Martial, it would with the assurance that he'll atleast be a semi-starter at the club. That would in all likelihood mean sacrificing one key player in attack.
mario has one foot out the door I think. Don't think he is going to stick around. Swap the playing time Mario gets and give it to Martial, Martial should be happy, no?

In theory its true, but does Martial offer the same kind of workrate Mandzukic does ? Is Allegri going to go all gung ho attacking mode and leave our 2 CM's exposed ?

Mandzukic's workrate is among the big reasons we even entertain playing the 4-2-3-1. Now if you expect Martial to play a similar kind of role as a glorified wing back , you're in for a rude awakening.

Depends on the LB and CMs we have I think. We manage to get a LB that can defend well I don’t think it will be an issue.

You're being a bit hopeful imo

Some years ago, we were talking about how Vidal and Khedira can share adequate game time but the latter turned out to be his replacement instead.

If Martial is coming, one of Higuain/Dybala will be sold. Most likely the latter.

No kidding :D

I think this is more the Mario replacement. If Max wants Martial to put in some defensive work, I'm sure that's what his first 3-4 months will be for as he "slowly" gets integrated into the team. Cuadrado was taught. Costa was taught. It can be done.

What makes you say that? If Allegri stays, Mandzukic stays. He's his right hand man.
Couple reasons I guess. Mario has one more chance to make some serious money before his body shuts...IMO he is starting his "slide" so I doubt he stays. Doesn't have the legs/lungs for that high level longevity like last year.

Maybe. But I still think he's Allegri's guy, he won't let him go easily. Mandzukic even has the 'throne' seat in the dressing room.

So another Mourinho situation basically.....

He is a striker first and foremost who can play on the sides. Wanting him to defend like Mandzukic or Cuadrado is not happening.

Martial would be a steal if we can 'make him great again' ofc but i don't see any place for him right now and i don't want anyone from the attacking department to leave.

Martial was not quite Mbappe before Mbappe, but he was close.

His talent is worth over 100M in this market. For 50M, it's such a no-brainer.

Where do you find that pace, strength, agility, dribbling for 50M?

Martial on the left with Costa on the right is constant danger all match.

No. Cuads is a workhorse beast of a winger, Costa is just doing his tactical duties

Debatable.

As of today, Pogba has been a floppy for 2 years considering his wage and hype, and we need to remember he is really really stupid, rapper like stupid. Any dedicated proffesional with half his skills would be better just because of not being an idiot poser who wants to dab and rap instead of play footie.
Ability wise, PP>SMS, and it's not even close. And this from one of the SMS fanboys from last season before he became the next big thing
