Darmian ready for Juve move

Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian has given the all-clear for a summer transfer to Juventus, claims Tuttosport.

According to the Turin-based newspaper, Darmian has sent a message to the Bianconeri that he is more than happy to make the move.

The next step is now for director general Beppe Marotta to finalise negotiations with Manchester United over a fee.

Like Mattia De Sciglio, Darmian is valued for his versatility, able to play as a right-back, left-back or central defender.

The 28-year-old is under contract at Old Trafford until June 2019, but has fallen down the pecking order and managed only a measly 13 competitive appearances this season.

Manchester United bought Darmian from Torino for €18m in the summer of 2015.

I thought Darmian was looked for RB? Asamoah will never play RB.

Apparently, he can play RB, LB, and CB. Anyway, I don't rate him and he'd just take up a spot and wages. He's a needless transfer in my book. He'd probably become the 2nd most useless player on our team, after The Accidental Footballer that is (provided Howedes is sent back to Schalke, as he's currently the most useless).
