Some of the aging players have replacement in place.

Caldara can replace Barzagli
Szeszny for Gigi
We will buy some younger mid for Marchisio (Can/Paredes/SMS).
And possibly some attacking option or backup youngster. Could even be Pjaca.

I dont think age is that big issue here.

Although i dont think Luis is improvement over Licht at this stage.

Ronaldo is 33 and I'd still sign him.

But we have an aging squad. Clearly we could do with a couple of 24-25 year olds, if not younger.
Yeah, but LB spot that's Spinazzola. as Allegri, Marotta and everyone else keeps saying, we need a mix of youth and champions, we don't need to risk it with 2 young LBs that need to be eased in. If Filipe Luis costs little (and he should for almost 33yo fullback with contract expiring in summer 2019), I wouldn't mind him as the experienced guy that provides quality while Spina settles in and proves himself (or doesn't). Our RBs are much more problematic, we currently have half a player there, CM and RB will take a lot of our funds.

Spinazzola is 25 and has 128 career appearances. Surely he would be experienced enough?

Never ever played a CL game in his life, never ever played under Allegri, has little experience as a back 4 left back, none in top flight, hasn't played the big games in NT neither - yeah, I'd prefer the other guy to be proven and tested like Sandro, Asa or Filipe Luis, knowing Allegri Spina will probably start playing serious minutes around December in his first season.
