How can you be so deluded after so many reality checks? What drugs are you on exactly? Or are you just a bot stringing together some buzzwords into an incoherent ramble?

Prey tell, what are the reality checks, and what are my delusions? What are the buzzwords I used, and what was incoherent about the post, lgor? You can go ad-hominem all you want, but you haven't said anything worthwhile here -- or anywhere else, really.

You're the one who initially went strawman, and tried to make it seem as though I was insinuating that people were being fake fans. I did nothing of the sort.

I was pointing out that people were crying like a bunch of spoilt children, acting like this is the end of Juventus competing for trophies, and making the forum basically unreadable.

Anyway, spend all of your time moaning and lashing out on the internet, if that's what it's going to take to help you get through this. Or, you could go outside, get some exercise, and maybe socialize with some people in real life. :)

Some high quality :jj:

I'm yet to get my hands on it.
:andyandbarcelona:

So clever! You could probably use some drugs, Dai.

Some of the posts in the Mercato thread are spot on tho. The Beppe Apologists are too biased and blinded to realize otherwise I'm afraid.
A ton of these posts are just WAY too emo for me, brother. I get that people are upset, everyone is, but it's too much.

You've been here long enough to remember that I use to be one of Beppe's very harshest critics. For the first 18-24 months he was at the club, he was my number one punching bag. If you look at the body of work, though, management has done an exceptional job. We could also still win the league and the Coppa, so it's not as though the season is lost at this point.

There is just WAY to much crying going on in here. The team actually played a decent first half, and created some good chances. If Higgy finds the corner instead of drilling it at Navas, if Dybala gets onto the end of that low cutter, if Chiello buries a wide open header, etc., it's a different game. The immediate brain cramp 3 minutes in and the spectacular overhead are really tough to stomach, for sure.

The mistakes on the first two goals were largely made by aging players who have backups in house that are currently better players than they are. I LOVE Gigi and Andrea, they are two of my favourites, but age is what it is. Chiello didn't exactly cover himself in glory either, obviously. Max is going to have to put his loyalty aside soon, we'll see if that happens this season or not.

We need some investments, and from what I remember reading you and I are basically on the same page about where those investments need to be made. We're dying for some dynamic midfielders, we need athleticism and quality in the middle of the park -- badly. It's beyond obvious. We obviously need a decent RB who can add something to the attacking phase, as well.

Everyone needs to be patient, and wait to see what management does in the summer. Clearly Beppe and Co. did not do enough to reinforce the midfield the past couple of summers (I think they were counting on much more from Marchisio, and Khedira this season, but that's not enough of an excuse), or address the RB situation appropriately. Losing Bonucci's distribution was also difficult, given he makes a big difference when playing a 2 man midfield, and the money was spent on wingers to improve the 4-2-3-1.

Still, nobody really knows what our budget will be, or where they might find some good value on the market. Beppe and Fabs have found quite a few great bargains we can point our fingers at from recent years, more than a few world class bargains, in fact.

Simply spending money does not guarantee success in Europe -- PSG and City can tell us all about that. We've had a legendary run here, and there was always going to be a transition period, given the importance of the players who are currently in decline. I think there are some good succession plans already in place, and hopefully management will move well to fix the clear deficiencies this summer.

Why so trigger happy eh?

If you can't see by now that something's going wrong, than i can't help you, just hand me whatever you are on and we good. But keep believing it's all good for all i care, i don't want to burst your bubble [and no - i'm not saying we gonna be relegation strugglers (duh?!), just in case you want me to fight one of your strawmen]

Why you single out Igor of all people for "moaning and lashing out on the internet" and not the likes if Hydde, Nedved, or Vialli is beyond me. Didn't see him "moaning" about the team or the coach, only about our transfers - which is understandable imo. How many wake up calls does one need?

Also funny you call him out for "adding hominem", when it's pretty much all you do.

Have a good one, Goodnight.

You jumped in on the drugs comment, piggybacking on your little crying loverboy. I responded that you needed some. You earned that comment.

lgor initially came to me, I didn't single him out just out of the blue. He has cried all over this forum for months, and definitely increased that whining the past couple of days.

Relegation strugglers? I'm talking about competing for trophies in the previous post, captain hyperbole.

Where did I say that something isn't wrong? I just said in the post directly above that Beppe and company haven't reinforced the midfield properly the past two seasons. Or right back. We've had a bunch of injuries. We had two key suspensions last match. We're in a period of phasing out the old guard, which is always difficult for successful teams. In the post before that, I said that there are systemic issues with finances in football, and UEFA needs to address them.

There are not large systemic problems at Juventus, though -- although more money should be invested into our youth system. The club is being run very well at the moment, growth has been great post Calciopoli, reality is what it is as far as the finances go. There are some acute personnel issues that can be rectified with some intelligent acquisitions this summer.

What were my strawmen, Dai? I initially came back at lgor because he said that I was calling our fans fake fans -- which I didn't do.

All I do is ignore peoples arguments, and then insult them, huh? Sure thing, bud. He didn't legitimately address one point I made, he called me deluded, high, and incoherent. Pretty much the very definition, Einstein.

I dont get it....
It's fairly simple. Ancelotti worked with world class midfields in Milan, Chelsea and Real, he wouldn't here hence the Ancelotti pic.

Why Zizinho choose to put Joe Cole in that lineup and not Ballack, Malouda, Ramires or Mikel nobody knows.

Weaker than the current team
Thats definitely not true..
Yeah we suffer a bit on the fullback but we put some muscle on central midfield while we bolster the attack with technical players + You can be biased as much as you want but currently Dybala and Griezmann are at the same level and I`ll even go and say Griezmann for now showed more (Yeah I know Dybala has some good stats this season but still..)

I do want to say I really dont like the 4-2-3-1 formation and think we really need to change it to a 3 men midfield as this is the only way to handle Real and Barcelona.. Just think about it:
1. Defense - We need a tough one especially defensive wise
2. Attack - No matter what we do (unless we are talking about 500M worth of signings in attack - We cant beat Barca and Real..) - a good attack is needed but its not the "key" of beating them
3. Midfield - This is the real key to beat Real and Barca - Midfield need to be technical but also physical - If you get this right you limit their possession making them play a game which isnt suited to them as they`ll need to defend more than just go forward..

Best things to do this summer is:
1. Getting a strong ball winning player along with SMS who is exactly what we need - great in attack + physical + can defend well (adding Pogba as well will be unrealistic even in this unrealistic scenario)
2. Defense - If A.Sandro does leave we need fullbacks - It is important them to be strong and defend well but if they can attack as well it would be a very good bonus..
3. CBs - We can improve - We definitely can but there are other areas we need to do more..
4. Attack - Dybala D.Costa Higuain - are great players but something with Higuain just dont click when we play them as he is just too heavy - adding a WC attacker and yeah benching 90M player is probably the best way to play against Real and Barca..

Business wise - What I said is impossible if we dont make sacrifices
Reality wise - Its not going to happen as we already familiar with how things work in our club..

I really hope we can do something in order to improve in Europe but as a fan I also want us to keep our best players

The way I see it our market plan is:
Can
Try to poach talented youngsters
Darmian
Spinazzola
Caldara
Id add SMS as I think we will definitely try for him and our management must do something as it is the perfect opportunity
Pogba - WONT be targeted - I highly doubt we are going to offer a mega deal for him and his wages are not in our league..
Martial - Will only arrive if we sell Dybala - I dont think it will happen this summer but rather later on..
Pjaca - Will be back but will be sold a year later
Stu - Will stay..
Marchisio - Will say farewell at the end of his contract
Buffon - Will retire
A.Sandro will leave
Asamoah will leave as well

Next year`s team (not what I want but what I think it will be):
Polak;Spinazzola/Darmian Chiellini Benatia MDS/Darmian; Pjanic SMS Khedira/Matuidi; Dybala D.Costa; Higuain
Its a slight improvement as we lose one of our best players and one of the best LBs.. but we sign someone who will finally make something with our midfield..

My dream mercato will be SMS Pogba Nzonzi in a completely new midfield
Attack - I would like to keep Higuain but we need to finance it somehow so sell Higuain and also sell Pjaca who is and will never be good enough IMO and get Griezmann and sign free transfer Balotelli
Defense - Sidibe (if A.Sandro leaves)

Its probably going to be a 90+80+35+100+40-60-40-70= 175M net mercato (with bigger wages) but will give us a great leap in Europe.. Lets just say we wont be humiliated 3-0 by Real at home...
