Our results are not changing regardless of who we sell or buy. That is the issue. The results create a false mindset on where we are. Reality is Serie A is shit and we are winning it with ease over the years. We have sold pogba and Vidal yet still made a CL FINAL. So this policy of selling big is still achieving the results as we did with big names. Would this team be better if we had pogba Vidal Alves bonucci morata in the squad? Of course it would.

It took several seasons to find a world class left back so if we lose Sandro it would be terrible. But if Chelsea is his destination I seriously want morata back. We can sell mandzukic and have morata which would be amazing.

Just when you think dybala can leave he starts firing again. With 3 upfront and an actual creative spark helping dybala out his sudden form of being closer to goal shows how deadly he is. I say keep him.

We are only a right back and two quality midfielders away from completing this team. Two out of the three are basically ours in can and spinazzola, a freebie and on the cheap. Surely we can spend big on one midfielder without selling our best. S

Zidane transfer was mentioned in previous pages..he wanted out, his Spanish wife wanted to return home. The sell created a chain of events that brought in great players, a return of lippi and another CL final. I still don’t regret that transfer.

You bring up losing a few of our players but then in the same post you justify the Zidane transfer because he wanted out and we replaced him with other transfers. Do you not think we replaced the players we have recently lost?

There are very competent people looking over this and one thing is for certain to ruin clubs - overvaluation. In fact a 'proper' way to run a club is to constantly undervalue your talent and keep 'the pipeline' going. Young stars, enough visibility and a guaranteed future for most - a win/win for everyone. Monaco seems to be on this road.

Granted we are a point of arrival, rather than a stepping stone so it works out a lot different. Those 'details' ... Even then we can't afford to overvalue talent or we are done. I think Barcelona did it - they still can't pay the bill. Real Madrid have done it in the past and (I never thought I'd say this) Florentino's innovative and level-headed approach solved that issue for them. Now RM are a much better value/quality team and their finances shine through, combined with the natural historic 'pull' of the team.

Once you start having Roonies on 300K per week you know you are past your expiration date in terms of management and your future as a top club is muddy at best.

Like for like quality yes and no. And directly in the same transfer season yes and no also.

Bonucci amd alves for benetia and MDS. We have downgraded there overall.

Pogba vidal and the loss of pirlo for pjanic matuidi (a season later arrival) and khedira...again a slight downgrade even though pjanic and khedira has stellar seasons last season.

Higuain bernadeschi and costa have been good additions when we lost morata and tevez. But again the transfers are not done in the same period.

Overall thst is the key for me. We continously fall short in areas when selling and buying. I meam zidane gets sold and we bring in 3 world players to not only replace him but strengthen our defence as well.

Again our results dont change so i cant bitch too much about it but tgis current team would be complete if we had alves and a vidal or pogba in it. We fuckin sold vidal for 40m...peanuts FFS.

MDS has been a better defender than Dani Alves (save for his standout marking of Neymar), and DA's attacking prowess was more than replaced with Douglas Costa and Bernadeschi.

Dani Alves was poor in Serie A and alright in the CL till the business end of the season.

We still miss Vidal, but squad improved every season.

Alves made it count at the pointy and moat important part of the season. He was instrumental for us. MDS has surprised me and is good but he is no alves.

Vidal would be ideal in our midfield group now...still.cant believe he went for 40m.

Napoli have reportedly agreed terms with Sampdoria’s Lucas Torreira but must now decide whether to pay his €25m release clause.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Torreira has accepted Napoli’s offer of a five-year contract worth €1.5m a season.

why don't we sign him while we are desperate for rejuvenation and midfielders?

Probably we want to focus on young italians such as Cristante and Pellegrini...
and in Torreira spot we're prolly signing Emre Can.

Napoli will prolly replace Jorginho with Torreira.
But still for 25 I'd steal both Pellegrini and him.

Say our goodbyes to Khedira and Sturaro
and loan Bentancur out for experience unless we actually give him a chance.

Also I'm not so sure Marchisio will stay if the manager keep not playing him. Never unless it's a Udinese game where he throw in all benchers

Conte is close to PSG .. if it happens he will collect all talents of Seria A as Leonardo did when he was following any player who attracts Paratici and offered more than we offered ( Pastori .. Verrati for example )

PSG is doomed then
If I had the money of PSG I would buy in Serie A as well.
Other leagues best players are much harder to get.

Repeat If I were PSG Nainggolan and Milinkovic and form a trio Milinkovic-Verratti-Nainggolan.
That would be a hell of a midfield. And Nainggolan can be bought for 40-50m while Milinkovic 70-90m which is peanuts for PSG
