Why would sign SMS when we can sign Politano, Darmian, Bonaventura, Barella combined for less. Strength in numbers.
Seriously tho. I'll be pissed if we don't sign a defender, midfielder and forward of CL caliber + depth liek Can this summer. Our team is getting old and slow. Especially our midfield looks mediocre

And I'll be there come December to say... I told you so
You told me so about what? If that's our summer mercato, I will agree with your tears this time. :p

Yeah. I don't see the forward coming. Not unless we sell either Dybala or Higuain. If Mandzukic moves on, we're likely looking at Pjaca returning, and any CF we get is going to be young, a Patrik Schick style signing.

With Caldara returning, our CBs are set, and are great. But we need a good RB, a starting CM, and a rotation option in the mid.

Pellegrini, Can would be a decent start to the summer mercato, it would improve our midfield by leaps and bounds even if neither of them is the world class mid we all want (and probably are very unlikely to get).

Yeah. Much of it also depends on how Allegri wants to build his team. Staying with 4-3-3, heading towards 4-2-3-1 or perhaps back to 3-5-2.

Our system and tactics are in a limbo at the moment. We have some players most fit for one system, some for another and even some for a third. I actually think that's why we haven't played that well this season.

I have a crush on the 3-5-2 system and I'd liek to see Allegri go back to that, altho in a more attacking version :sarri:

I think Pellegrini is underrated in terms of Italian prospects. He's quite likely one of the better ones around but receives little hype relative to how good he is. Every time I've seen him he looks really smooth with the ball, very good close passing and close dribbling. Good work rate. Willing to put in hard challenges. I haven't seen many outrageous goals but I think his technique from outside the box is not that bad.

For 25M I think he's worth it.

Florenzi is an absolute no-brainer depending on the price IMO.
But we really need more quality in midfield. Pellegrini is ok for the league but im thinking he's not one to take us to that step up in quality needed to conquer Europe

Market is fucked right now. We'll never afford a world class CM.

Wasted our one big bullet on Higuain.

This Barella guy is very interesting while Bonaventura is a kind of the nobody guy who has something in his sleeve Darmian I have to say I never saw anything special about him and Politano is only a player to complete a roster..
You have a point there we can dismantle all of those and create one player made of all the good pieces.. :D Seriously now why cant Marotta act like the big dog for once (I mean big dog in Europe not in Italy...)

Oh $#@!. Allow me to amend that :D

We should be all over De Vrij. These are the kinds of opportunities Beppe and the board beat off to on a regular basis. Quality defender on a free and sell for 60 million in 2-3 seasons? Beppe Special :tuttosport:
Why would he come here to be 5th choice?! He is off to Inter...

Say.. Greizmann clause.. Is it still 100M? if it is I just wonder what will happen if Beppe surprise us for one season only and get us both SMS and Greizmann without selling Dybala
