Why would Bayern give a shit what Marotta wants? They can outspend us rather easily, its not like they need to out smart us, they can simply outspend us.

There is a decline from 27-30 without a doubt. It isn't sudden but its definitely there. And for that, unless you're buying cerebral players or defenders, there should be caution before spending big. Just by opinion.

https://content.iospress.com/articles/journal-of-sports-analytics/jsa0021, especially with forwards & midfielders. For the most part, peaks are at 25.

Yea that could be an option, but Darmian and De sciglio can also both play lb. So again I feel like it's gonna happen. Not to insist on Darmian but it seems like such a typical juve move and I'm just expecting the worse in regards to our rb
Darmian is quite useful as a backup, if we didnt already have MDS and Spazzolino. He can play both sides of the defense and CB in a 3 man backline. Id still take him even with MDS and Spazzolino here already, but as a Barzagli and Howedes replacement if hes cheaper in fee and wages, and is willing to accept the role of a 5th CB, 2nd/3rd RB and 2nd/3rd LB. If Spazzolino starts at RB, wed be fine with Darmian and De Sciglio on the bench

Martial on a loan + obligation to buy, Fabinho for 50+ million, and forget about Sidibe. Sell some squad fillers, and we are good :baus: :D
Nah, Martial will definitely cost 60M or more, and will take around 6M in wages. Fabinho for 50M with City, United and PSG interested? Scratch that, actually scatch him from your (plural) wishlists altogether, hes as unavailable as SMS is. And Sidibe? Already forgot him mate, didnt even want him in the 1st place

Did you just turn 30 or something? You seem obsessed with this.

Fwiw I think the vast majority of players reach their physical peaks between 22-26. People claim Ronaldo is a truly exceptional physical specimen today. And that might be true. But 33 year old Ronaldo ain't got nothing on 24 year old Ronaldo. I'd take the latter any day.

Because he's the sort of allround midfielder we are always interested in. I think he'd do well here. Not the world class player I want to come here, but very close to the starting line up if not in it. He'll be 24 in May, so we can improve his tactical awareness and mould him to our style as well.

Does he ever play for the Belgien NT? I feel like hed be more recognized internationally hed he joined Southampton or Stoke instead of a top 10 Serie A club

But even the 33 year old Ronaldo is levels above every player other than Messi, so it doesn't make much of a difference.

Nope, he doesn't. And he has actually come out and said he thinks Martinez doesn't call him because he plays in Serie A. Which he wants to do btw, Praet rates Serie A very highly.

True. @italiacalcio10 wouldn't want him though, because he's over 27.

Yeah, he thinks there's no better place to grow as a footballer than Italy. Part of it has to do with his dad if I'm not mistaken, he's a massive Serie A fan. Praet and Mertens are also close friends (both come from Leuven), so that's also a factor I guess.

What I like most about Praet is that he can do pretty much anything. He could roll into our team and not be a weakness at all. The downside is that he's not a major star and I'm not sure if I'd consider him an upgrade over most of our current starters.

The thing is, i think we are gonna go for 2 mids, one starting caliber "Top player" and one young with potential to take over in a few years, so if we cant steal Pellegrini from Roma, Praet is a solid alternative. If that other CM improves our starting XI, then Praet does the same simply by being part of the Rotation with Bentancur

He's our SMS.

Wysłane z mojego FRD-L09 przy użyciu Tapatalka
There are only 2 players as at the level SMS is in (in his role) and those are: SMS and Pogba
Calciomercato linked us with a return but I highly doubt it as he would need to cut his wages - I see SMS as much more likely
In any case our chances to get one of them isnt high and the thing is one of them is definitely what we need...

One of the reasons, yes. Thing is Bayern's top players don't earn bad money, so maybe he should have just kept playing on a high level to earn himself the payraise instead of playing like $#@! on purpose :baus:

But maybe he just had a huge dip in form, who knows...

If the former is true though, how long will he be here? He's already on €6.5m.

lol @Nostradamus
The sad part is, that the incompetence of Hoeneß & Co. Is endless and becoming unpredictable. These Can rumours must be total BS though, but Kovac would prob love him..clueless fools..I have become depressed and losing interest..tough times and Bayern developing backwards in seven league boots.
