We have to sell players now. Everyone will know we need to do it and thus the difficulty has increased
This makes zero sense. What difference does our situation make? Other teams couldn’t care less about that. It’s not like the market for a Higuain or a Rugani is going to dry up. They are quality players teams will line up for. Same with our youngsters.

Your theory only works the other way around. Juve still has leverage.

It doesnt seem like SMS is coming so other than him, what do you all think are realistic midfield targets. I'm assuming we lose Sturaro and Marchisio and replace with 1 player. So our midfield will be Pjanic, Can, Khedira, Matuidi, Benatancur and ____________

Do we actually even need another midfielder numbers wise? 5 might actually be enough. Just that sadly Khedira and Matuidi don't inspire confidence in me

We need 6. If Marchisio leaves I’m sure they have someone else in mind.

Aye, teams will line up for them, but not enough to create a bidding war. Only Chelsea want Higuain so far (for example) and he is 60M book value and 15m+ per year for his salary alone.

So Juve or Chelsea hold the leverage? The market decides. And so far we've made one huge sale Pogba and we had to give Mino his weight in gold, regardless that his client wanted this deal the most. When you have FIAT(pun intened) money its relatively easy to buy, but selling for the amount of money YOU want is another matter.

Do you really believe only Chelsea is interested in higuain? We’re talking about one of the best 9s in the world, regardless of age.

Oh, I am sure tons of clubs are 'interested'. Some wc milan fans were even inclined to give him a shot... But nowhere did they mention 60m+ for Juve, 15+p/y for Higgy and whatever other signing bonuses might be needed to 'persuade' him. ;)

Chelsea seem the only realistic option with the opportunity to make an acceptable offer. And when you look how they've tried to milk the Sarri/Conte situation, I am certain the Higgy sale would be even worse.

We've done brilliantly to the point of questionable legality with youngster sales. But we can't stop there, otherwise teams would corner us on our needs to offload. We should be able to capitalize on the fact most players want to play with CR7/win-all-trophies and turn the table on other interested clubs.

nah, we don't need Higuain and barely anyone who can afford his wages and transfer does, therefore I expect Chelsea to fuck us on this deal

Tuttosport:

The signing of Cristiano Ronaldo had a positive impact for Juventus re Golovin, who sent signals to the Italian Champions.

The Russian talent prefers Juve over Chelsea and Arsenal.

The player's will is important but it is not the only one that matters.

TS:

Before closing CR7, the deal of the century, Juve presented two concrete offers to CSKA for Golovin.

Juve offered €20m-€25m between fixed transfer fees, bonuses & %stake on future resale. But CSKA raised the price to €30m and started talking to Chelsea/Arsenal.

Tuttosport:

In the mercato, apart from money, time is also fundamental.

The feeling is that if Golovin stalls CSKA, Juventus could come back later with another attempt.

to whom? the CFs this summer are not on high demand and sadly Higuain is hardly the hottest prospect out there
Wut? We just get Ronaldo, strikers are bound to move clubs this summer.

Real must buy someone

Lewandowski wants out from bayern

We want to offload higuain

There are going to be plenty of strikers transfers this summer.

y, but the only ones who truly need a forward or two are Real and Chelsea and Real might as well just go for someone like Mbappe and Hazard and Chelsea might decide to be cheap again and stick with Morata if they can't get a bargain. In that case we're really stuck and so is Lewandowski.

He's talking about a domino effect which might have already Kickstarted with the Ronaldo transfer so yes, there will be teams looking to buy Higuain
