Well then, this transfer period and the one last summer are certainly miles apart. Last year we KO-ed the transfer period in like 3 weeks while this year it really seems like we have no idea what we are doing and what we want.

At best this was unprofessional at worst incompetent. My hope is that they needed the money elsewhere. My guess is the original plan was schick and one winger. Now that they're going two wingers they don't need Schick since they have mandzukic, but they do need the money for something else.

Why would he be better than Douglas Costa and possibly Bernardeschi? Those players can pretty much walk in our starting XI whereas Schick would have to feed of off scraps.
