Yeah, playing in 2 CL finals in 3 seasons, means we can't win CL without a higher grade of players...

We beat Real Madrid that season, we completely smashed Barca and Monaco this season.

One bad-half, and yes, it was just one (as we were in clear control in the first half), and people are acting like we're a mile away again from winning the CL, and somehow need a massive squad upgrade.

We need minor tweaks here and there, and better options off the bench in attack and midfield. But our starting XI this year was as good as any in football.

We will keep facing these same high caliber teams in CL and its not bad luck both finals with ease, just not good enough, soundly dispatched with twice. So we need to actively improve our quality to match or keep up with them improving, and yeah that requires higher grade players. It's not a good enough consolation to be the best of the rest, we need to do everything possible to take that extra step to become dog winners.


No excuses imo. Not bashing, but just reality check, we done wonderful job up til now, but it's not enough and we need to get there with more game changing quality, better weapons in our overall squad Arsenal.

All we needed against Madrid is the bench to have allowed our starters to play 90 minutes instead of 45.

You and PI are basically saying the same. Fix the midfield and get more decisive options from the bench.

Selling al the new youngsters for 10 times the price they bought.

I don't know if anyone mentioned it here, but that is some good business. Especially because Sampdoria is not flying high in table like Atalanta did this year.

I read somewhere that in his new contract there would be another clause - anti-Juve and anti-Inter clause, meaning the RC of 20 mln wouldnt apply for us and merda... Not sure how accurate that is..

Samp sure do a great job, but imo they sell their top players pretty cheap, even Schick for €25-30m isn't THAT much for a talent like him in todays market. €14m for Soriano isn't much either.

Yeah but it is just Samp, a 10th placed Serie A club. So the amounts are fine I think, if it were Viola or Lazio players they would have cost much more indeed.
