Yeah. So what indeed. Let's not get upset or give a $#@! about the competition that matters most, the one we haven't won in 21 years, and lost 5 successive finals in. No biggie. No, really! Let's keep patting ourselves on the back for destroying the pathetic "competition" we have domestically (kind of like the Cavs beating up on inferior teams in the East) and then getting crushed/destroyed/pulverized in our most important game of the season.

Other way round Bro. Pjaca has a chance to make an impact here. Kean won't get many opportunities and should go out on loan

I will explain why not loan for Kean. Because I think he is not ready yet to be first option in good (decent) team. Season in some bad team like Pescara or Crotone wouldnt at my opinion improve him much.

I want Pjaca to stay. I think he'll be more important for us than both Cuadrado, and the Brazilian Krasic, if he comes.

Pjaca will also need time in start of season to completely recover. Players on his position will just take a place. They will be available for pre season. I am not 100 % sure but seems to me something like that. About Kean I would rather give him some chances with us at cup competetition and sometimes against weak opponents then send him in some weird team.

You said it was a failed mercato last summer too, but we very clearly improved. And by quite a margin.

And I'd rather lose 20 CL finals in a row, than be a group stage/Rof16 exit every single season.

The point being that we are right up there at the very top of the game. Winning all our domestic competitions, beating multiple top teams in the CL. As long as we continue being a top 2-3 team in Europe most season's we will eventually get a final right. We very clearly have a strong enough team to do it, as evidenced by getting to the CL final by destroying both Barca and Monaco, and then being the better team in the first half. A second half, complete meltdown in the CL final doesn't change they fact we had a great season.

Yes, it would be fucking amazing to win the CL again. But this fucking pathetic bitching like we're some minnow and having terrible seasons all because of losing two CL finals while the club has been in the midst of rebuilding itself into a European powerhouse again.

Shame on everyone bashing this management.

I just don't like it when people dismiss losing 2 CL Finals as if it were nothing. It means everything, especially to fans who have waited over two decades to celebrate a victory in the one competition that matters more than any other.

I won't bash the management for signings like Sandro, Pjanic, and even the inflated figure they paid for Higuain, but the Rincons, Hernaneses, and Sturaros of this world are not needed Overall, the management have done a spectacular job, but they have also made some mistakes.

As for last season's mercato, I think I gave it a 7/10 which is anything but a failure, but there were other areas which could have been improved and weren't.

As for this summer, if we get Schick, Keita, Berna, N'zonzi, potentially another DM, and a RB to use in rotation, while selling Licht, two of Lemina, Sturaro, and Rincon, it'll be a solid 8/10. Quality acquisitions, plenty of depth, and deadwood disposed of

I agree with all of this. I'm just tired of people diminishing what we have actually achieved, which under Allegri these past 3 seasons is surpassed by Real Madrid (2 CL - 1 Liga) alone, and probably equalled by Barca (1 Liga- 1 CL - 2 copa Del rey).

As I said, even though I absolutely hate losing CL finals, ignoring the fact we beat the teams we did to get to the final in 2 of the last 3 seasons is silly. In 2014-15 and this season every club in football bar 1 wishes they had our seasons. All the same, we better fucking win a CL in the next couple years. Hitting 25 years without would be so frustrating.

I gave last summer a 7-8/10. I can't remember now. I thought the management failed in terms of CM, though Pjanic went a long way to making me change my mind this year, playing like a top 5-10 CM in football for the last half of the season. I think the biggest problem is that they still have not adequately covered the loss of Vidal from two seasons ago. Especially when combined with losing Pogba last summer.

We lost Vidal-Pirlo-Pogba and have replaced them with Khedira and Pjanic. I suppose The hope would have been that Lemina developed into a star. But he clearly hasn't and we are missing 1 world class CM.

This mercato won't be higher than 7/10 for me without getting a starter quality CM to at the very least rotate with Marchisio, Pjanic, Khedira. I'm not sure Nzonzi is it... but he's a mile better than what we currently have on the bench.

Nzonzi is one of the best DMs in the world. Also played in a league that's very similar to the CL and dominated the teams were going to have to beat.

Costa/Bern/Keita would all represent an upgrade to our starting 11.

It's a lot harder to upgrade a team when you have world class players at almost every position.

I am so disappointed we didn't sign Tolisso, for real. For once I would like us to act fast and sign a player like him. We were like || <- this close to signing him according to reports and Lyon president. At least lets try and get Vidal back, I hate him but still we need him. I get that its hard to upgrade an already complete team but IMO a blind man an see that we lack that quality in midfield. Marchisio is injury prone now and remains one of our most complete and best CM's. Khedira is a great player but we can't rely on him simply we can't. N'zonzi is a great player but I see Tolisso as a player with bigger potential and a Vidal type of player, a player we lack. And please if we are signing wingers, no more experiments and Hernanes type of players please better promote 1-2 primavera players then do that kind of shit...

And please no more near retiring players.

If we keep playing the 4-2-3-1 like Allegri has stated, then I am actually slowly siding with the fact that we sign a player like N'Zonzi. As good as players like Verratti and Tolisso are, we are lacking a DM destroyer to pair with Pjanic to offer some physicality in the middle of the park. Khedira and Pjanic offer very little defensively and barely seem to tackle. There are better DMs in the world, but very few that are available. Fabinho would be a wiser acquisition for the long term though, and more versatile.

You cannot be serious to compare the donkey Rincon, who has failed miserable at Hamburg, with Rudy, who just had an excellent season for Hoffenheim and he made them tick in midfield..an outstanding season. Cant believe how underrated he is in most forums.

Tbh I think I wouldn't, I love him as a player but he is 33. He is short term investment and knowing our team we would give him 3 years contract and forget about that position for the time being (next 2-3 years), sooner or later he will start to decline I know he is world class and that even in decline he will be a great player but we have - Buffon, Dani, Barzagli,Chiellini, and soon Marchisio that's to much to change all of a sudden and if we don't pay attention to that we could end up as Milan did to many players to change in so much little time. Add Iniesta to that its 6 players from the first team, plus at the age of 33/4 he can't stand the tempo as a 24 year old player.

I might get bashed for this but I hope you get what I am saying and I know our management is planing our future great so far but still that's 6 quality players to be replaced in 2-3 summers and tbh we didn't even replace Vidal/Pogba as we should in CM. In lack of quality CM I would take Iniesta only if he accepts 1 year contract nothing more. That's why I wanted Tolisso so bad, he reminds of Vidal (more tech skilled Vidal)...

I hate him to the hell and back 10x times but we GOT to press for Nainggolan and offer him 7m salary he was close once he will be again, I am sure he is just bitter because we didn't try enough to sign him during his Cagliari days. Or break the bank on Veratti even if it means 100m, we need Marchisio quality type of players and for me Marchisio >Khedira in terms of quality. I really love what Khedira brings to our game but IMO I choose Marchisio any given day without a blink of an eye.

btw we should have kept Pereyra as a bench option, he was far better in every position than Asamoah + Lemina combined.
