Just draxler, Matuidi and witzel come to my mind. Maybe Gotze?

Players that we made contact with but failed to get.

There are more from older times but those were most likely fantasy...so im just mentioning the ones after we got some spending power and prestige back
we must have been linked with Isco about a dozen times too before he committed to madrid

indianregistaToday's reports claim that #Verratti has reached a breaking point with #PSG. He has put in a transfer request to leave the Parisian club. #FCB & #Juve are interested in the international.
Additional info
1. Marco Verratti's relationship with PSG is irremediable.
2. Verratti declined a new deal offered by PSG. €15m net wages were offered [on 27th May] in the new deal by Jean Claude Blanc, who was trusted by PSG president Al-#Khelaifi, to handle Verratti's negotiations.
3. Verratti's agent, Donato Di Campli will attempt to reason with the club that they can't keep an athlete against his will. If push comes to shove, Verratti may even decline to turn up for PSG's preseason retreat [set for July 4].
4. Verratti feels that his cycle is over at PSG. He's looking for a winning project & he wants to triumph in #UCL. PSG were slaughtered 6-1 by #Barça that eliminated them from UCL, while also lost #Ligue1 to #ASM.
5. Verratti's agent, Di Campli will meet PSG's director Antero Henrique in Milan today. A meeting in Milan today between Juve, PSG & Verratti's agent, can't be excluded.
6. Verratti's operation would cost €80m. Juve don't lack as they pocketed ~€120m from UCL. Juve & PSG may look to bury their problems with each other in the past, to discuss about Verratti.
7. Juve are evaluating backup plans to Verratti. Not only #NZonzi but also PSG's #DiMaría, who wants to leave as well.
8. Barça's €100m offer for Verratti is genuine.
9. Interest in Verratti is high. Competition & demand is huge. clubs & #Inter are also monitoring the developments in the Verratti affair.

Marco Asensio like to Juventus. I'm sure from Spain: according DiarioGol , in fact, the Bianconeri would be vying to snatch the young Spaniard to Zinedine Zidane, with Arsenal and Liverpool among the main antagonist of the Corso Galileo Ferraris club. Blancos will settle for a figure between 35 and 40 million Euros for the 21 year old attacking midfielder of Palma de Mallorca.

He was too expensive, his resale value at moment is what, 30-35m? next summer it will probably be 20-25m. I get spending that kind of money on the likes of Verratti or Griezmann, I still don't get spending that kind of money on Higuain. Not only did we sold Pogba for less than we bought Higuain for, we also boosted Napoli's , our direct rival, finances quite a bit.

Without us triggering the release clause they're either stuck with unhappy Higuain who keeps looking for happiness in food or he forces his way out to Arsenal or wherever for something like 50m.

So what are we Arsenal, Dortmund or something like that? Resale value, than why did many complained when we sold Pogba, Vidal or Coman, we earned quite money on them. Should we sell Bonucci and Sandro too while they have resale value. Also there is no way in hell Higuain would cost 35m at this market. We bought one of the best CF's available and he turned out great. Maybe but only maybe the price could be lower, but that's what you have to pay when you buy from direct rival.

Also how Napoli spent all that money we gave them and where they finished?

Thats because its not the same people. For example, i didnt like the Higuain signing but most of the others made by Marotta i do. Then you have the group that bashes almost every signing we make, apart from a few

It's ok if you are not a fan of some particular signing, but to moan for the sake of moaning and the transfer window isn't open yet is ridiculous. Many here moan because we aren't linked to half a dozen exciting players we know we won't sign.

I agree Milan made some great moves, they showed they are serious about the next season, but they are at position where every fucking new player is exciting, and like Osman said none of their signings would even start for us, but we are at different level. Look at Barca, are they linked to any special new player, are they even looking for a new RB or MF.

We are buying smart, even during Moggi's era we were never top buyers except when we sold big and maybe right before Calciopolli when we started to make some serious money. And even then we had the likes of Zebina, Kovecevic, Mirkovic, Baiocco, O'neill etc.

Lol Higuain 35m? If he was put on the market bids would probably start at 60-70m. Teams that have that kind of cash don't give a fuck about resale value. Look at Madrid. They barely make profit off their big buys.

Real would never let Asensio leave, that is like the next superstar in the game.

The only thing we got going for us in the Verratti transfer is if he's sentimental to going back home and wants to make his mark in his own country.
