I wrote on here in Feb/March that Lemar was one of 8 players that Beppe and Co need to consider. Since that time I've kind of cooled on the prospect. Whilst I do admire Lemar, I've come to the conclusion that we need a more solid, proven midfield player. I'd rather go for either Di Maria or Sanchez as well as Paredes.
It's interesting though that the two clubs Lemar is linked to in the L'Equipe article both place a great deal of emphasis on work rate and physicality, especially Simeone. I'm not entirely sure he fits that requirement but I guess both Simeone and Pochettino also look at other attributes that complement/ add to the blend of skills.
The transfer activity at Juventus, whilst ongoing, is, for obvious reasons, on hold till after the match in Cardiff.
Given the intense activity expected by the major 15/20 European clubs over coming weeks (6 clubs are expected to spend at least £175m on their market activities) the important issue is for Marotta and Patrici to finalize the deals v. soon so as to avoid last minute acts of desperation as the transfer deadline nears at the end of August in 96 days time. I'm relaxed about this but it looks like we will have to get the deals done by the end of June.
For me then l'd like Schick straight away - none of this p*****g about with Sampdoria keeping him next season, a WC midfielder and an International class Barzagli replacement. The goalkeeping situ is now looming v. Large too.

Guess again. We wanted him even when he was playing in their primavera, also loaned out to Serie B before he renewed his contract in 2015 we were actively after him. Granted we generally after majority of best italian talents, but we actively tried to persuade him to not sign new contract with Viola back then.

I Just can't see us paying that amount for him. I honestly dont think he'll give us that extra step in quality on what we already have.
I don't think Cardiff has any influence over our mercato unless some players would change their plans about staying. Marotta said we are monitoring and negotiating for players throughout the year (Dybala for example).
Lemar seems to be a good crosser and proper at defending. Hence we could make a good use of him both as a LWF and a LWB.

Cuadrado is a winger, Mandzu isn't. Sanchez would obviously be our LW.
What we need most are WINGERS!
We do need CM and CF but wingers should be our no`1 priority
Cuadrado is good but not WC - He is fast but is quite limited and thats why Alves took his place
Alves is doing great but he is old and probably wont play here for more than 1 more season...
Mandzukic is doing great work as a special kind of winger - he kind of alternated this position but he is doing great! - The thing is even if I admire his work we could still do better..
Pjaca - He is a player with potential but first he needs to figure out how to be healthy..
In conclusion we need 1 LW 1 RW 1 CM 1 FC budget is being said 120M so:
Lemina sold for 20M means we have 140M
We did sell Zaza mid season but lets ignore that and say its part of the 120M...
LW - Needs to be someone who can cut through defenders and preferably know how to track back (not a must but it would help if he could..) - out of the players that we are mentioned it seems that Di Maria is the best of them although I think Keita even if I dont see him WC yet could do surprisingly well and Lemar might take some time to adapt but I think he could be a nice surprise
RW - Same as LW - We already missed out on B.Silva but there are other players who can play there - James - I really like him - he is one of my favorite players but somehow I think 1. We wont get him and he might go to Man Utd or a disgusting club like Inter and 2. I have a feeling he might flop here
Bernardeschi is obviously not James in terms of quality but he is Italian and he is dangerous..

CM - here is the part which we need to strengthen ourselves but not necessarily the way we think - It could be someone who is good but have potential to be WC like Tolisso who is to me like a young Marchisio, It could be someone like Tielemans who is good and has amazing talent, It could be someone like Fabinho who can add quality and also be a RB when needed..
CF is the easiest part as we can
1. Use Kean
2. Buy a backup which is much easier than getting a starter..
3. Schick - but he`ll probably be bought only to be loaned in his 1st year...
