Pogba was a CM, its was just strange to see him with the 10. Wrong position, wrong player, left after 1 season of it. If they gave it to Pogba, giving to someone like Bernardeschi makes 10 times more sense.

Thought you said the #10 is just a number the post before... So why do you care?

It is just a number for me in the sense that I'm not for retiring it, or putting it on a pedestal. Its just strange seeing the #10 in a CM. The numbers used to have positions associated with them. I would feel it strange too if I saw a winger wearing #1, DM wearing a #9, or a striker with the #4. I'm an old school guy.

On top of that, if we are going to put any special importance on the #10 itself, then we already made the worst move by giving it to a player who left for money after 1 season. So in that sense, its done.

Ideally it would be Dybala's but if he doesn't want it, then give it to other (hypothetical) TQ in the team.

Its the same when Buffon retires. The #1 should go to whoever is our next main keeper.

It does, but it's the inflated price of top talent nowadays in this market.

He isn't an unproven talent so not as far reached as before, a midfielder who scored 14 goals, very young, Italian, essentially the Italian premier talent to most likely make it in top club due to his all around technical capabilities. He is in 35-40m range for sure, you get 25-30m for likes of Pjaca who hadn't done anything yet (or Gagliardini who basically went for that after 8 league starts...) , what do you expect the price will be for someone who has had a top season and playing for a rival?

The number one is just media invention. But also, why not him? Someone should have it, Dybala doesn't want it clearly, and Bernadeschi is defenitely the fitting type of player to have it.

“Is Keita already ours? Absolutely not,” Marotta said on Radio Rai.

“He is a Lazio player and he has another year on his contract. We’re watching him, I think he’s a good player but for the moment there’s no negotiation.

“We’re interested, but we’ll evaluate things calmly.

“We’ve already taken [Mattia] Caldara, although he’ll remain in Bergamo [with Atalanta], and it’s the same for [Leonardo] Spinazzola who is already ours. We’ve focused on interesting youngsters.”
What does that mean, that he will stay in Bergamo too?

For me, a player that hasn't proven that he's WC (although have the potential to) to choose the Juve #10 is putting unnecessary pressure on himself. Imagine the media slaughtering the player for a couple of bad performances. Also iirc Dybala said that he would consider #10 if the club wants him to have it.

You think we can get both Berna and Costa?

@Hustini
Hopefully but it probably wont happen. I think that both will cost in the 40-50m euro bracket and if we add the money we spend on Bentancur, Caldara and maybe Cuadrado, Schick, a new CM and a new RB, it is unlikely that we will get both IMO. Unless we sell a Bonucci, AS or Dybala.

You talk like we are Napoli :D

Aslong as its a good player who is playing in a team thats doing well regardless of his adjustment period, it shouldnt matter the pressure that comes with 10.

And ofcourse Dybala should have 10 for sure if he wants it, but his comments suggests he doesnt, but he is only being diplomatic. If anything he has given more praise for 21 due to Zizou and Pirlo.

Yeah, but good is not enough for me. It's Juventus number 10, I know some random players wore it in the past, but for most of us we will associate it with great players. Although I hate to say it, I initially thought Pogba deserved to wear it, as he has proved himself at the top level. Berna meanwhile hasn't proven a lot while playing for an upper mid-table club. No problem if he has proved himself worthy.

But it's probably media bs anyways that he'll come here, so we're probably wasting our time here. :D

De Sciglio agrees Juve move?
By Football Italia staff

Milan wingback Mattia De Sciglio has reportedly agreed terms with Juventus, who must now negotiate a transfer fee.

According to Premium Sport, Juve “have already finalised” their agreement with De Sciglio and are ready to sit down with Milan over his signing.

However, the broadcaster did not reveal whether talks were on the horizon or how much the Rossoneri were holding out for.

De Sciglio made only 27 appearances for Milan last season, with an ankle injury disrupting his first two months of 2017 and a thigh problem ruling him out of Sunday’s final game against Bologna.

----

Lol his team celebrating six meanwhile the club that wants him wants to be celebrating something much more.
