Sanchez could definitely replace Mandzukic effectively with his work rate. Not sure James could. Di Maria could.

But football isn't simply what works on paper, and Mandzukic isn't a "weak link". I do think we should build depth/ build for the future though.

Sanchez is exactly what we need, even if his work rate and defensive contributions are lower than mandzu, his offensive ability is like at least 100% better than mandzu.

That's a huge game changer, I dare to say that it may actually improve our defense as the oppositions would be more scared to attack our left side fearing counters, they would know that sanchez and sandro combo would kill them on offense.
