Regarding CMs I have a feeling we'll say as we are. Pjanic - Khedira as starters and Marchisio - Rincon as subs (and Mandragora). Sturaro and Lemina have no room in this team and formation so hey'll be replaced by Spinazzola and another winger (Bernardeschi maybe? He can play as a winger and AM).

Anderson would be a better choice indeed but he is going to cost a lot more 50m+. If we keep playing this formation we need at least two more players, that can play various of the front four positions. In my opinion Keita would be a good choice for a Dybala sub. He is young, has high potential and his price will probably be affordable so we can ad a quality winger and Khedira alternative, without selling anybody important. I dont see Keita as a winger in our formation, but he can still play there in case of emergency.

I havent watched Berna enough to form an opinion, but he certainly seems to fit the bill young, Italian, Versatile and hard working. Could be a good addition.

Schick is a must buy in my opinion. If we buy him I just wish we bring him to Turin ASAP. Would be good to have a back up for Higuain.

What you guys think about Lucas Moura? hadn't seen his name being linked to us, but could be a good bargain.
24 years old, playing at a high level for several years, maybe he'll want a new challenge, and I'm guessing PSG will make big changes after that disastrous CL campaign... I'd take him if it's under 40M.

So it's going to be Benatia, Keita Baldé, Schick (loan to Samp), possibly a strong CM with the Tolisso links fading away, and then probably one of Spinazzola/Conti/De Sciglio and most likely a young goalie like Scuffet.

This while Lemina is the only certainty to be shipped out and Mandragora + Neto very likely as well.

A bit underwhelming but definitely filling some needs and very expensive already. Forget about Verratti or Sanchez...

I doubt that we will drop 100m net spend this summer. It all really depends on what the plan is going forward in terms of coach and systems. If Allegri stays, which seems likely of course, then they should sit down with him and make a real plan unlike last summer.

We'll probably be going with versatile players who can fit into any formation we use. IF we are still confident about Pjaca, then only 1 attacker, 1 fullback and 1 midfielder may be necessary. Also, Max seems to rate Mandragora quite highly, maybe we will integrate him into the team and instead sign 1 attacker plus bring a young guy.

Chiellini, Barzagli, Bonucci, Benatia, Rugani for 2/3 spots
Alves, De Scilgio, Sandro, Asamoah for 2 spots
Pjanic, Marchisio, Khedira, Mandragora, Rincon for 2/3 spots
Higuain, Cuadrado, Mandzukic, Dybala, Pjaca, Player 1, Player 2 for 3/4 spots

Thats 24 players. Right now we are playing with 22. If they wanna send Mandragora on loan then sign someone new.

This is also assuming that we offload Sturaro, Lemina and Lichtsteiner.

Cuadrado(5m loan fee?) and Benatia(20m?) = 25m
De Sciglio = 12m

That's roughly covered by Zaza and Benatia.

attacking player 1 = ?
attacking player 2 = ?
midfield player = Mandragora or ?

Drop some 60m on a top winger/attacking mid and the get Spinazzola for free.

Sorry to go all on everyone, but it's true, it's fucking hard to improve on this team. But there is no doubt we need some much needed depth in the LW (and RW) positions and maybe another CM. But will they be better players than who we are currently starting? Who knows.

If there is the possibility, I would just drop whatever money is needed to get Bernardeschi here. Him and a fit Pjaca being our main options to rotate the attack seems perfect. With some free Spinazzola on the side.
