:sergio: at that unprofessional Italian attitude. Della Vale should rather prevent selling his players to Inter, Milan Roma etc as they are clearly their rivals in la classifica.
theyandtheirstupidjuvevendettathing.

they should be aware that the juve revenge boat sailed long time ago...and should focus in beating the guys at their side.

if they were intelligent..they would sell to us and reinforce. theres no point in trying to prevent us getting stronger..we are not their enemies.

Well, last summer I said we would have more difficulty replacing Morata than Pogba. And yesterday it became very clear. How we didn't score with THOSE counter opportunities is almost a crime...

yes, thats why i say that we need morata for this kind of games. his running into spaces with the ball was nerve wrecking,

having morata on one side and cuadrado on the other unning like wild men would be devastating against teams looking for a goal

The real question is which positions we can possibly improve.
Imo we can do it with LW (Mandzukic), CM (Khedira) and possibly RW (Cuadrado).
I would try to buy one WC winger who can play both wings and WC CM.
Buying one star winger would completly change our attack depth. Mandzukic could also play CF if Higuain needs rest then.
So imo we only need two players, maybe three if Licht or Dani Alves decides to leave.

There are no upgrades over Cuadrado, none that we can get anyway. Cuadrado has amazing stamina and that is exactly why he's so important for us. He showed it clearly yesterday. Take that as a starting point and you'll never find a decent replacement.

As for the other 2; I agree but it's still a very hard job to do and I wouldn't be so sure anyone brought in will 'automatically' replace those 2. The newcomers will have a difficult task in earning a starting berth. So I'd rather say we need more depth to continue playing this formation. Subbing in Asamoah and Lemina as wingers needs to end sooner rather than later.

You are probably right, it would be the best just to get another Cuadrado who can play on the left wing, someone like Thomas Lemar for example, but not sure if he would be upgrade on Mandzu (and I dont know if loosing so much strength would be good for our team).

I know all want Sanchez or James but what if we dont and we get a mercato of Lemar&Tolisso? How would you grade it?

Just thought about him myself - I think he would be an upgrade attacking wise but he cant do Mandzukic defensive work so the question is should we? If he is below 30M I`d take him!

Not sure about them. Is Tolisso good defensively? could he play duo with Pjanic?
Lemar is really small guy, I would like him here but not sure what would happen to our overall game play with him replacing Mandzukic in the starting eleven.

This all up to Marotta and Paratici, they made monster of the team, our only lack is in depth is because we changed the formation, but in can be easily solved.

Lemar and Tolisso would be great acquisitions. Young and plenty of potential. I wouldn't be averse to that at all.
They will cost an arm and a leg though.

Monaco would be in a great position soon. They have a team full of young talented players, fantastic financial conditions for FFP(minus stadium attendance), rich owners and a ton of clubs asking to buy something. Very little deadwood too.

I am starting to thing that this summer would be cherry picking for us. We've got depth, we've got youth and experience and we would be looking for those special players... Sweet days ahead.

For discussion's sake. What do you guys think.

We've always taken advantage of Serie A talents, in general they are cheaper and easier to get for us. Marotta has said the same many times. Now the league is experience quite the generational shift and a lot of talents are coming through. In my opinion, we shouldn't sleep on this. Many players are, and will be, going to big teams and we need to get on them.

Dybala, Rugani and Caldara are great signings. We could use a few others. Here is a list of what I think (I'm sure Im forgetting some) are the best talents coming through that are at least somewhat available (excluding CBs since we already signed 2).

GK
Donnarumma
Perin
Meret

FB/WB
Zappacosta
Conti
Spinazzola
De Sciglio

Mid
Diawara
Pellegrini
Zielinski
Paredes
Kessie
Sergej

FW
Berardi
Bernardeschi
Simeone
Felipe Anderson
Nestorovski
El Shaarawy
Schick
Muriel

Within the next 2 summers I'd like to get a few of those.

One of those GK could be signed. For now, Donna>Perin>Meret.

If Zielinski or Diawara can be convinced I'd go all out for those. Otherwise the other mids could be great here as well except maybe Kessie.

Zappacosta might be a problem since he is from Torino, but he is the best right back of the bunch. One of the others I'd welcome as well.

The forwards I think we've discussed the most. 2 of the better ones would be good. I'd keep an eye out for Simeone, he has been looking good. That could be our Higuain back up.

In my opinion it should be not only a matter of who, but a matter of when.

I say this because we NEED more players in attack. And obviously they need to have quality, no useless depth a la isla.

Our attackers are already feeeling the stress of playing everygame and we need options coming from the bench.

Our current starters make the machine run, but we need to have a full roster for them to not get burned.

Who are those subs? Ill let it to beppe and allegri.

Most of those guys on your list aren't good enough as depth options, let alone as starters for us.

We can get both for the price of one Higuain. I definitely think we can get them both, and get an option on that Schick kid for the 2018-2019 season. We can start looking for right back options (and sounding out potential acquisitions) in the summer of 2018 as well.

Yes he is good from what I have seen and I think he can
Lemar is very young and full of potential - He impresses me everytime I watch him

What if Donnarumma extends.. Would you settle for potentially good Perin or Mr Im young and have potential but really not ready yet Meret? or maybe we should just get De Gea in this scenario?
There are players in your list like Felipe Anderson that should be deleted as options as they are either not good enough or good enough at times and disappoint lots of times
As for Kessie - He has the physique but not sure about his overall ability

Only Bernadeschi should be interesting for us

Perin over Meret. Perin is great, he is just under the radar because he has been injured. He is extremely quick on the jump, hopefully he doesn't lose that agility when comes back.

How is Felipe Anderson not good enough? he performs every week. One of the most consistent players in his team this year, he has grown so much and is a very complete player now. Besides, our current option for Cuadrado is... Lemina. Replacing a player like Lemina with Anderson would be so much better.

its happening it seems. not bad as backup for Cuadrado but not really impressed by him
Douglas Costa mainly plays on the left.

Yes it was devastating but so is Mandzukic tracking back in to the box making huge tackles. I think its fair to say we are fine without him but we do need some reinforcements in the counterattacking game. Not sure if taking Mandzukic off here would have been smart though
