IMO Mehdi is here to stay. He knows and we know Barza is in his last season as our 2-3 CB choices

im not so sure. he was a starter from the beginning of the season but now, he fell off in the pecking order behind Rugani even. with Marseille now interested and having money, he might want to leave somewhere where he will be a starter

Does he remind anyone else of Zoff? Same sort of height, build, actions around the area.

Not enough evidence to suggest he has the same kind of cat reflexes, but he's definitely that smaller and agile keeper style, can make some spectacular saves.

Yeah but 1.85m is not really that tall for a modern keeper. He doesn't look very big or very 'filled out', more like a keeper from yesteryear.

True, he is a bit stockier though. I know Meret is still a kid but he's unlikely to turn into Peruzzi in a few years.

If you look at the best modern keepers now (Buffon, Neuer, De Gea, Courtois, Lloris, Oblak, Handanovic, Navas) only Lloris (1.88m) and Navas (1.85m) are under 1.90m.

It's not a huge deal but you can expect a certain type of keeper when Navas, Bravo, Akinfeev and Ruffier are your kind of height.
