are we linked to a CM? I have read or heard nothing about a CM... it's kinda worrying.
Well it's very clear at this point that we are shifting a huge priority onto our attackers. We will require a lot less from our CMs than we have in the past. I think this is a full commitment to a 4-2-3-1 and our DMs will just need to move the ball quickly and protect the defence. Already we have 3 players capable of that in Pjanic, Khedira and Marchisio so I think any CM addition we make will be modest.

Matuidi seems like an inevitable conclusion because of the Raiola connection and his willingness to run, protect the defence, and play short passes.

I guess we can only hope Marchisio regains his old form...

He is VERY good most times I seen him, not much tho (mainly CL and euros). Pure DM, feels kinda random if we are after him, but besides technique/natural passing ability (and that he tackles alot more directly), he pretty much has similar basic reasons why I want N'Zonzi. Towering presence, reliable holding DM who bullies opponents, no nonsense tackler/destroyer basically.

Surprised we weren't linked already. He could be the low key DM, especially as it seems Porto are selling (Ruben Neves to Wolves, wtf).
Much rather him then Matuidi btw (all out physical DM, plus 5-6 years younger), who doesnt make sense for our midfield needs really.

Ok, but Matuidi rumours are still quite strong. So is this guy alternative or are we looking here at a Lemina/Asamoah replacement in the squad? He is not exactly that young at 25 years old, so not some young Pogba type prodigy signing.

Serie A champions Juventus have set their sights on the 25-year-ol FC Porto midfielder Danilo Pereira, according to reports from the Portuguese media outlet Abola.

Pereira was born in Guinea-Bissau but moved to Portugal at the age of five and has moved through all selections of the Portuguese national team. He made his senior Portugal debut in 2015 and has so far amassed 22 appearances for the reigning European champions.

Having begun his career at Parma in 2010, Pereira is a familiar name in Serie A and it comes as little surprise that the biggest club in Italy have placed the Portuguese international on the radar this summer.

Abola claims that Juventus identified the FC Porto man as an ideal addition to their squad as Allegri looks to bolster the Bianconeri ranks for next season.

The same media outlet, however, admits FC Porto are unlikely to let go of their prized asset without a fight.

Danilo Pereira has emerged as one of the integral parts of Sergio Conceicao’s team after making 27 Primeira Liga appearances last season and adding four goals and one assist to his name.
