Isn't Di Maria a bit too old for our taste. He will turn 30 next season. He is a quality player, but 35M + his salary are quite an investment and where is he going to play? RW, CM?

I mean I don't want to sound like a broken record and every player obviously peaks at a different age, but a 4 year contract means he would be here by the time he is 33. And amortization would be 7,5 mils a year without salary.

I'm not fully sold on Belotti anyway, too much danger of dumping a lot of money on a new Immobile. I'd rather Schick.

We shouldnt sign him anyways, he is for another top club, but whats Belotti is doing goes beyond Immobile IMO.

Caldara stays there for another year
Cassata and Orsolini loan out to Atalanta or Sass
Schick buy and let him stay another year
Buy favilli back and loan him out somewhere in serie a as well

Marco, Sturaro, Rincon, Marchisio, Khedira, Pjanic (can replace Rincon with one of Bentancur/Cassata/Mandragora)

I think its reasonable to assume Verratti is the big target and its a question of when. You have PSG on the other hand with their massive ego and massive pockets who would sell him anywhere but here, so we must be ready to react should they try to ship him to the EPL sooner. Everyone knows by this point they wouldn't have the squad for a CL attack in his current contract. They are closer to loosing their domination in France than they are to winning the CL.

With him we have the players for almost every formation possible and it seems that's what Allegri and the board prefer. Get top players and mould formation/tactic, rather than getting specific players for specific role in an established formation.
