You'd be surprised Osman. After the Monaco games, the analyst felt the exceptional need in pointing out madrid would hopefully score early so we dont play catenaccio, and see a game with alot of goals and a consecutive cl win

Italian teams get $#@! here. Nothing else.

If i watch Juve or Italy on tv, i'll use a holland channel instead of a belgian one cause the insane bias is gutwretching
remember Jan Mulder calling Juve: 'that little team' after witsel choose noodlemoney :D

yes and he is a monster physically speaking.

Our best, cheap and young mercato would be: Shick (FW) 25m release clause (21yrs old) , Keita Baldè (LW-RW) 20m (22yrs old) , Milinkovic-Savic (CC) 30-35m (22yrs old) and Andrea Conti (RB) 15m (23yrs old) and Meret (GK) 10m (20years old)

5 youngsters to bring new blood once Barzagli,Buffon,Lichsteiner,Alves and Khedira retires/quit
I would go for some of this, doubt Balde Keita would only go for 20m, plus Lazio will not sell both of their best youngsters.

I disagree. First of all Degryse has a massive boner for Juventus for some reason. I never expected it, but it is true. Also, while many mistake Juventus for a defensive team, everyone is also in agreement we're pretty damn good.

Yeah but how, does that mean a top talent would ignore a top club that's showing its atleast one of 2 strongest around?

If Juventus come, Tielemans would not ignore them.

didn't anderlecht refuse an offer from us for Tielemans last year?

I didn't say replace on age alone, but that someone being 32 means they don't have many seasons left in this level, so they can coexist with a 20 year old in same squad who is there to eventually and gradually replace them if comes to it. Meaning thinking long term.

You really like misinterpreting and putting words into what others say it seems.

We really need to think long term this mercato. Otherwise there will be to many profiles to replace in the next couple of mercato's and we will risk falling into the Inter/Milan trap. Buffon, Barza, Georgio, Alves, Licht, Marchisio and Mandzu are all players who are going into the last part of their career. I think it will be crucial for the long term succes that we start getting some younger players into the squad this year so the transition can be gradual.
Luckely a lot of the other big teams has some of the same issues. Barca are already strugling to replace Alves and Xavi. In the near future they have to replace Mascerano and Iniesta. Bayern have to replace Xabi, Lahm, Robben and Ribery. Real have Modric, Ronaldo, Ramos in a couple of years.
Interesting to see how the different teams cope with the change.

If you don't think Mandragora has the talent, its because you never saw him play. Same with Gagliardini.
I seen all 3 play, are you sure you have? It's not a question of talent, they both are good prospects, but Tielemans is simply in another level. Litterally can't be denied watching all 3 play.

Tielemans wont cost big money, basically no one goes for big money from Belgium. Their ceiling seems to be around 20m.
they easily could've gotten 20m a few years ago, I think after this season when he's supposedly raised his level, it'll be something closer to 35m. Which I'd be comfortable with if he's as talented as people say, his head also seems to be in the right place, a mentally weaker player would've gone for a big league/big money at first chance, but he has stayed to develop further.

He is not on another level. Yes I have seen him play, even seen him play live. Their talent is very comparable, which makes spending a bunch of money on a player who won't be much of an upgrade pointless. He won't bench Pjanic. He won't be ahead of Marchisio. Dropping an odd 30m for that is bad business. Its not a dig against Tielemans, he is just not needed. That's the only role in midfield and attack where we are actually stacked.

Dunno why but Mandragora to me sounds like another youth to sell and make profit

What would be your dream mercato?
Let's say we want that infamous back to back treble, what would you give Allegri to work with.
Keep everything we have

Try to get 1 of :

Sanchez
Di Maria
Verratti
Mbappe

Try, cause very unlikely

Focus on building the bench for the future, mostly players who we see as great to build with

We should still buy some starting player in order to keep some motivation within the team. It's hard winning all scudetti and now even reaching CL finals. We'll need a fresh blood and extra motivation, not just for the bench.

As for the 4 names you mentioned, yeah, I don't think any of those is a realistic target -- unless maybe we sell big.

Wow.

That opinion is so wrong I can't even..

Tielemans on the same level as Gagliardini and Mandragora...? Wow. I don't think you're going to find many pundits and scouts who agree with you.

Only time will tell I guess. Maybe all of Europe got it wrong.

I agree. It's important to buy players who can be expected to start. Not 4 or 5, but one or two to keep everyone competitive.

We can get Sanchez or Di Maria without selling big, damn we can get both of them without selling big.
No, we can't.

Or we can, but we're never going to do it cause we've never done it really. Look at our big buys, they all came after we sold big. Latest example: Higuain.

You're also forgetting tough competition. Sure, we're A LOT more competitive now cause we're reaching finals, but it's never going to be easy signing players ahead of City, PSG, Chelsea and others.

Thats the point. We can, but we won't do it. Sanchez will go for something like 50 mln max imo and we surely can offord it. And Arsenal will try to ship Alexis somewhere outside PL, which basically mean he is gonna join PSG, BM or us. He knows Italy, Beppe wanted him for a while and we are in the CL final.
We won't go for him though.
