would you like me to say which player was bought for way too much money? one could even say he should have not been bought at all. you will never guess who but he was 4th....
That 4th guy will be signed by other club then for more money. It is reported that there also interest for him from Liverpool and now Liverpool look to sign Mamardashvili from Valencia for €35m, more expensive.
Then next year we will also complain Toli that are not able to buy Tek replacement. See the positive side that we can loan Digre (€4m) with the money saved from Tek salary (€6-7m). What can €4m make with Koop negotiation when we start from €45m and now reported already near with Atalanta valuation €60m (us offering €58m). The obstacle is within Atalanta

you spend $4 now to buy a goalkeeper you don't need AT ALL
you left with $16
now you need to use that divided between midfielder and a winger
your offer for the winger is $8
your offer for the midfielder is $8 also
the clubs for the winger and midfielder want $10 each. you don't have extra money to give. now 2 months go by with no development.
you fucked yourself by spending $4 on goalie you don't need in a position you did not have a problem in
i don't understand why this is such a hard concept. low fee, loan fee makes no difference. money spent is money spent and priorities were not prioritzed
It ever occurred to you guys that all the reports you're getting worked up over are clickbait, and that the "journos" have to keep putting out "reports" to justify their paycheck?
Yes, we have to "check to see if we can afford Sancho"

You’re reading it wrong. Checking to see if we can afford Sancho=seeing if we can still sign him while embezzling enough cash so that it doesn’t impact our bottom line.

You do realise the cost of a player is not just the transfer amount…. It’s the wages too. Di Gregorio is getting paid less than a third of what Tek was getting paid. Di Gregorio by many accounts was the best goalkeeper in serie A last season and I reckon we got him cheap given that the other big clubs in Italy thought they already had a good keeper….. but he is better for Motta’s style of play.
In summary we save by changing Tek with Di Gregorio and at the same time may be a better alternative for this team. I don’t think it was a bad call at all.

We don't exactly save money now. The difference is 2 million extra this season IF Tek doesn't sign with another team that is. In the long run we'll save a lot of money in salary ofc, yes.

That is what matters because this financial year we have shit loads of one off pluvulenzas. Tek terminated his contract and were pay half of what his salary would have been or a bit more.
