I was one of the first to lol at this mercato but it's at the point now where it's SO fucked that you just know giuntoli has all the last minute deals lined up. Because this is just too fucked to imagine

He is for sure signing Koopmeiners and probably 2 wingers. It won't be in time as we all like. But those 3 signings not happening is insanity before the window closes.

But the biggiest worry is what he will sign for the defence. Because it's completely up in the air. Not delayed like the others, but completely unknown.

this is just a big fat mess

and these are just the cb's. winger situation is even worse. at least we have bremer and danilo, those aren't bad. but when it comes to wingers, we have inexperienced yildiz who's not explosive enough for a modern winger anyway, and weah. and that's all. chiesa is said to have an agreement with inda even by slow sky experts, kostic is never a winger, fucking hell

i have no idea how this season will turn out to be. but the mercato itself created more issues than it solved so far. accounts will look better, but the squad lacks bodies and quality at almost every position. year zero my ass, this is year minus one or two. giuntoli wasn't exaggerating when he said that fixing the squad was gonna take him 2-3 seasons. now it's down to motta to figure out something. as a fan i have no expectations, literally zero. whatever will happen, will happen.

The biggest worry about the defence is that it's very irregular tactically, at least in the build up. So much so that I'm not even sure Bremer can play it let alone someone we bring in with no preparation.

I think what we see with Rugani and Djalo is that because the system is so irregular there's just zero chance they can play it and we are set on dumping them regardless. Because if it's just a simple tactic where you line up your backline deep and the cbs just stand in build up, you should obviously just keep Rugani

I don't even want to think about what the squad is going to look like after 2 or 3 seasons of Giuntoli "fixing" it. :scared:
if it's about actually signing thuram, luiz, di gregorio or the primary targets like calafiori or koopmeiners then it's not a tragedy, those are good players. not sure they perfectly fit a system, still good players

if it's renewing rugani then shipping him out, the month long dick scratching about secondary targets like todibo or waiting weeks for a risky, visibly not motivated enough player like kalulu then it's a straight out shit show

i suppose it's gonna be a mix of it

nothing unrealistic about it, it was an unbalanced squad full of squad players. it could have been fine for 3-4-3, that's on allegri for not even testing that

too bad it looks like we have even bigger holes for a newly hired coach and his system

Giuntoli has to take the blame when we play the first official match without 3 much-needed starters.

I still cheer for him and hope he can turn this mercato around . I think he is trying to do the right thing for this club.

Fiorentina have decided to sell Nico González to the highest bidder: Commisso will give his Ok. Juventus and Atalanta are in the race. Atalanta have more funds available due to the sale of couple of players.

He’s trying to kick too many players out. You can’t operate like that in one summer and without Chelsea-like resources.

Nico González prefers Juventus over Atalanta, however due to strong interest from Atalanta, The Bianconeri will have to make an improved offer than previous one (€30m + bonus) which might rise up to 40 million euros.

30M for a 26 year old Argentinian winger playing for Fiorentina, this is just insanity..
