Yes he had injuries last season. But it's not like he has this whole history of injuries that plagued him year in year out. I thinks that's exactly why we would only offer loan, with either option to buy or obligation if he plays certain amount of games

He played for the french national team and looked damn good when he was healthy at least from the extremely limited time I have looked at him. Its a gamble. But if its a 3.5m loan with an OPTION then its worth the gamble. I would rather that then spending 15-20m guaranteed on an average player. At least you know this guy has played at a high level and is 24. If he is injury free then it could be a great gamble.

But gambling is what gambling is. We could be stuck with another player in the infirmary for a year.

Calafiori for 4m is a great gamble for Bologna

Unfortunately we are forced to take gambles on players that are a gamble in more ways than one, it’s high risk but i guess a loan plus option or obligation based on number of games gives us some leeway in this particular case, although i’d still rather look elsewhere rather than do Milan a favour.

All in all must be a reason why Milan are so easily willing to replace him and move him on without showing any patience, because they probably don’t rate him as high as before either.

he is mainly RB and Fonseca wants offensive fullbacks, prefers Emerson which they just signed. That seems to be the main reason.
But why we would need RB? i thought we need LCB?

Well, I think we do but it has obviously changed to the attack once Todibo slipped away. That money is now going to Gonzalez.

From what I've read he's been fit for a few months now but 4 big muscle injuries in recent years is very worrisome.
So you’re telling me if we signed Todobo we wouldn’t have signed a Gonzalez type player? That’s worse.

He is both CB and RB, but probably also more comfortable at RCB than LCB, i also don’t really get it unless we plan on seeing more of Gatti-Bremer or Danillo-Bremer as the starting CB pairs with Cabal and Kalulu as versatile defensive backups.
