Our team still looks far from done.

We still haven't sold McBurger, Arthur, MdS, Kostic, Milik, Woj, Chiesa, Djalo, Rugani.
We still miss RB/RWB, I dont trust Gatti on that position.
CB position also not done. Lets hope Todibo comes.
Our midfield also lacks. We play a lot of games next year, and we have only DL, Thuram, Loca and Fagioli. I dont count Miretti since I dont rate him at all. Lets hope Adzic turns out good and we bring in Koopmeiners ASAP.
We still lack on the wings. Only Kenan and Weah are there... they are ok for backup or rotation, but not for starters.
We still miss vice Dusan.

Marotta is slowly turning to my most hated person in football.
Yeah, he is great for his team which is the most important. He also has many journos in his pocket and looks like he never get Bad PR for moves like this, but he definitely is doing some shit behind the scenes. I'm pretty sure Dybala case was also done with his inspirations behind the scenes.

We cannot allow Chiesa to join Inda at any cost. Would be disaster for us given that they are 2-3 players away from becoming a legit CL contender.

but we had a scudetto worthy team lol

not that the remaining players are of insane quality. and not that those up for sale are absolute duds. i'd still keep chiesa, tek is leaving (if he does lol) due to his age not his quality, milik, rugani, mckennie are acceptable squad players, etc. but looking at the big picture, this hasn't been a deep and strong squad worthy of the club's traditions for years

Roma, Juventus and Inter are the Serie A teams that have spent the most on the market so far. As reported by "Corriere dello Sport", the Giallorossi have spent a whopping 90.5 million euros so far, earning only 16.5 million from sales, for a deficit of 74 million euros. Juve, second in the ranking of money spent on purchases, with 88.6 million euros, however boasts a positive balance of 1.6 million euros, given that it has managed to sell for a whopping 91 million euros.

Closing the podium, we find Inter, with 63.5 million euros spent, but only 7.3 million collected, for a negative balance of 56.2 million euros

If we can offload all of these name from this list on loan with paid salary or straight sell we can save around 55m in total (salary+tax) this year

GK: Di Gregorio, Perin, Pinsoglio

FB: Danilo, Cambiaso, Savona, Rouhi

CB: Bremer, (Todibo), Cabal, Gatti

MF: Douglas Luiz, Thuram, (Koopmeiners), Fagioli, Locatelli, Adzic, Miretti

FW: Vlahovic, Yildiz, Weah, Mbangula
———

So if they can finalize Todibo and Koopmeiners they’d need to add at least one more winger (depending on what they think of Adzic out wide or Mbangula’s readiness) and a backup for Vlahovic.

Like it or not @Lion is right. Signing a keeper for 20m when you have 2 perfectly fine keepers already and now losing all your attackers is pretty retarded

Hopefully we have some deals closed already for more important positions

There's still a month left. With Koopmeiners, our midfield looks complete. With Todibo, our defense is set.

We need to sort out the winger and vice-Vlahovic situations. I'm not confident we will get great reinforcements in the winger department so people should temper their expectations imo. As for vice-Vlahovic, I'd be down with Milik for another year if we can't get anyone competent.

Overall, our squad looks good for Serie A level. I'm happy with the work Toli has done so far.

This season was all about sorting the coaching crisis and I think we've hired the right man.

All our attackers? Soulé wasn't part of the JJ squad last season and Kean was irrelevant. Chiesa is still here and if he leaves, we'll replace him with another winger or maybe two. Nothing retarded about it especially given that your 'fourth goalie' is being signed on an initial loan hardly factoring into this season's budget.

People losing their shit over signing one of the best GK's in Serie A on a loan and eventually a reasonable sum, locking down the GK position for the next 6-7 years is what's retarded.

We have 2 weeks man. Our attack should have been ear marked 6 months ago when we started with Djalo and Alcaraz.

Was this whole Chiesa situation a surprise? We've seen it coming a long time ago

idk what people are even complaining about, were they expecting him to fill every hole and dump all the scrubs previous management collected in one summer or what? Of course he has to finalize Koopmeiners and Todibo and dump some of the deadwood, but hes got some time.

At the moment it is nowhere near good for serie A level (depending what you mean by this, I mean squad challenging for the title).

Note that we still have to agree on Todibo and Koopmeiners deals, as well as selling on Woj, Rugani, Arthur, McBurger, Chiesa, Djalo, Kostic...

The links that are mentioned regarding wingers are not very promissing as well.

Also vice Dusan is not sorted too.

We will see, there is still time but I am not as optimistic as you are. I expected more.

Yes but the season starts in 2 weeks. It doesn't make sense to have the attackers coming into the team near October when u got here a year ago and knew this was coming

It's difficult to do with such an anticipation. Not sure if Motta was sealed back then already. That's one thing. Another is that half a season is like an eternity in football. So many things can happen.
