Is it just me or Italian players rather achieve average results in EPL?
Zola Jorginho and maybe Di Matteo were exceptions but the majority quite failed IMO.
ethnically Jorginho is Brazilian( Portuguese), but his nationality is from Italy, therefore he's eligible to play for the Italian team and call himself Italian.
It's hard to name successful Italians outside of Serie A maybe Zola in EPL , Verratti in ligue 1 and Cannavaro in Laliga that makes me doubt about Calafiori and after picking up some injuries head back Italy.

it's mainly because the ones that go are just not that good to begin with like scamacca or zappacosta. they midtable players that struggle in midtable clubs.

the top ones that went like verratti, donnaruma or jorginho have performed at world class levels.

only one you can say looked midtable but went on to have a great career is immobile. after struggling at dortmund sevilla and loan back to torino he became one of the top strikers in serie a.

thanks for reading my post.

I swear the best player to go from Serie A to EPL besides Mo Salah is probably Cristian Romero. I can't think of a Serie A signing that has taken the next step in that league.

Massimo Maccarone and Scamacca scream out mediocrity, but epl clubs bought the hype.

You are right but he never won any major international tournament with chelsea.

Nope, but he had near legendary career with Arsenal? Maybe you were too young to see him. At 16 he was bossing a stacked Juve team in CL lol

When you list best EPL midfielders ever, he is guranteed to be top 10. He is the opposite of a ruined player. Or talent, since he made his career since teen in EPL.
