what was the actual injury? If it were just an ACL the red flags seem odd. Gotta be more?
not only the acl, ALL the ligaments plus the meniscus were torn when he was 16. i read that it was a nasty tackle during a match. as far as i know it's pretty rare to tear everything within the same knee. i had an acl tear, my brother had one, plenty of friends suffered the same injury, i also had my meniscus broken, but neither of us had mcl + pcl + lcl tears additionally. it's a very unusual football injury

50m is indeed insane for that injury record.

And that other player should be disqualified for life
50m is a very high fee for any defender, regardless of the injury record. i could accept the originally agreed fee of ~35m though

btw nice allegedly ask for 40m for todibo too. not sure whether he's good enough for that fee

His injury record seems to be improving over the seasons, and last season wasn't bad. The good thing is his injury happened at an age where he could possibly heal fully. Also it's not like his knee gave out on his own, it was an impact injury so it's not to say he's naturally got bad knees like Zaniolo

But yeah, that has to lower the cost

I really Wonder what was the discussion regarding him between Motta and Giuntoli, looks like they were adamant on him when they thought he would cost 20-25m. They probably didn't want to risk more too

calafiori. only downside is those knees, which is a big risk
Wouldn't be hurt if we take him on the right price. Smart way if we just avoiding overpay . Anyway, we have to buy a player to cover RB/LB position i'd rather buy a promising talent than a jabroni.
