Would be handy if he could play left back and then you could move Cambiaso to right back and therefore not need to spend up on Di Lorenzo.
He is more likely to be injured or unfit for large chunks of next season than he is to become first choice LB... we’d still need an additional starting quality LB or RB either way, Cambiaso is still the only reliable fullback we have atm.

A kind of agree but Djalo must be fully recovered by now. Danilo would be the right back assuming nothing else happens.

From what I understand about Motta's system, the full backs are not that adventurous going forward - its the center backs that move forward and the full backs tuck in. So perhaps Danilo could be effective in that way. Who knows.

Djalo is almost fully recovered indeed, but he is foremost a CB, and you can imagine the different requirements between him playing as a LB or as a CB.

Tbh almost forgot about Danilo primarily being a RB after all, so as things stand i think it’s more likely that we’ll see Cambiaso at LB and Danilo as RB, however under normal circumstances we’ll still need at least another decent quality backup for LB/RB.

Please no Danilo as RB, he’s a nightmare there. CB suits him way better

Hard to disagree on that, would much rather we look for another proper skilled fullback to bring in, however he does seem to still be doing decent for Brazil in that RB role which might make him worth another try also here under a new coach with different tactics, could potentially see it work in a more lopsided version with the LB(Cambiasso) being more offensive while the RB(Danillo) being more defensive tucking in as a RCB almost.

Ofc that’s just me trying to make sense of it all as it does seem we are on the market for another starting quality CB while still having a bit too many of them around for only two starting spots.

Seems like they invented a rumour and just changed the protagonists. Djalo and Gatti.
Basically just journos throwing every potential scenario out there in the hope that some of them actually sticks lol

that’s pretty average defence. Gatti + Djalo = mediocre full backs. We need Calafiori badly
Calafiori would be a CB primarily as well so not sure how that will help in regards to having mediocre fullbacks, anyway, that defensive line was obviously intended as a joke, it can’t be serious

Adding Cambiasso - Calafiori - Bremer - Danilo/Di Lorenzo is much better!

Guintoli likes Greenwood very much. We can see an swap deal including Chiesa with United. [Giovanni Albanese]

In the past few hours, Dortmund, Liverpool and Newcastle have asked for information again on Dean Huijsen . For the moment, Atalanta have not delved into the situation after the first exploratory contact last weekend.

Juventus would not want to sell him, but would only do so for an important offer of at least €30M.

No, you are wrong. Gatti and Djalò as defensive wing backs making horisontal and vertical runs could drastically change our football. The centre backs roam freely and run into attack, overloading the opponents' midfield. It's likely inspired by an inverse of the hybrid Pep Guardiola/Pirlo/Bielsa 1-9-1 formation when attacking and a 6-2-1-2-1 when defending.

I find most intriguing(some might call it revolutionary) the way in which Thiago Motta will be able to fit all 12 players in the defensive block, i bet Fagioli will be crucial in making it work. :agree:
