Di marzio: Aston Villa asking for McKennie, Iling, and 20m for Luiz.

seems a little much, but not too bad. Theres a deal to be made there imo
I wouldn’t hate it at all

Both are on the final year of the contract, and we strengthen the weakest area of our team.

We NEED to fix our atrocious midfield first before we start anywhere else. This has been an issue since 2016.

Luiz? Idk, i dont really watch aston villa. But transfermrkt has his value at 70M. Even if thats more than his actual worth, its still a lot. He also looks good on paper, statistically.
@Osman says he's meh so I trust him. The rest of Tuz just jerks off because it's a Brazilian name from the premier league :disagree:

Although, the last time we bought a Brazilian midfielder valued at €70M+... :scared:

Someone pls explain why Di Gregorio and not Carne?

And don't use price as a factor. A solid #1 is a long term investment. See Buffon.
1 - Comparing signing Carnesecchi to Buffon in any way is just silly. Buffon was a proven superstar already. Carnesecchi is just a good talent, but not even a top keeper in Serie A, much less the world.

2 - There is no "long term" planning in football nowadays unless you're an elite level destination club. There is too much turnover. Look at the amount of young players who have come and gone through Juventus over the past 6-7 years that were supposed to be cornerstone players moving forward and left. I'm not saying dont invest in young, talented players (especially Italians), but I'm not counting on any of these guys to be here long term.

goalies don’t really move around like that though, so I would expect di gregorio to be at Juve for awhile. Just look at Szczesny, he was here for seven seasons, that’s a fuck ton, relatively speaking.

Fair point.

I'd also argue that GK is a position that top clubs arent looking for young, developing keepers. It's a position where you're looking for proven guys that will provide stability.

Carnesecchi is a good talent. I dont think Juve fans would have been angry if we signed him and hoped he'd be our guy moving forward. I also dont think he's a guy that top clubs will be beating down the door to sign yet. And to be fair, a year from now, he could have a great year playing every game for Atalanta and he could someone that top clubs are interested in signing.

But you just cant compare signing him now to when Juve signed Buffon.
