I don't think we'll go that far. People overexaggerating a lot just because we had a good mercato and avoided top teams in CL even though it's a really tough group. You cannot go too far anyway with the likes of Gatti, Kabal and Kalulu in your backline.

Top 2/3 in Serie A and knockouts of CL would be a good start to a transitional year.
I didn’t mean only the CL, we have 4 competitions and a final. I think with another two (defender and winger) additions the odds of making this a positive season were in our favour.

With a limited budget you can't revamp an entire squad. Our backline clearly isn't elite (and I reckon our standards are pretty high after having BBC for a long time). From what I read Kalulu was a pretty good CB but injuries ruined him. if he can regain form and stay injury free he can be a solid option. Danilo I still think can do a decent enough job and isn't a bad player either.

Kalulu Danilo Bremer Cambiaso should be good enough to advance a round further imo.

Milik is staying too, isn't he? There hasn't been any links to other clubs
there were earlier in the mercato, but he made it clear he didn’t want to leave. He was also injured.

they should keep the jabronis frozen out. Some other leagues markets don’t close until September. Hope they get the hint

Oh wow, we've been on him for awhile now so this is an interesting grab.

21 years old so might even get a call up to the squad if we need to break Vlahovic and Milik. What's the option amount?
di Marzio has the numbers, suggests they value him as more than just a body for next gen:

Four hours before the end of this summer transfer market session, Cristiano Giuntoli has placed one of the last blows for Juventus Next-Gen: Luis Semedo, a 2003-born striker owned by Sunderland. The Portuguese footballer will wear the Bianconeri jersey on loan with a redemption set at three million euros plus two bonuses, to which 20% must be added on a future resale to be paid into the English company's coffers. The striker should land in Turin late tonight.
