No it doesn’t make sense. You have to have a clear idea what positions you need for building a squad. Kalulu doesn’t fit what we’ve done so far. A ball playing CB that is probably not gonna start for some time.

Nah, it doesn't work like this. We work with prioritised positions and players because we have a limited budget and can not fix everything in one summer. Perhaps we even waited on the expensive Todibo because we didn't sell any fucking one yet. Who will tell... But we need an extra body at CB nonetheless.

I think if JJ signed Huijsen and Soule this summer for the price they were sold for everyone would be fapping with excitement and praising Giuntoli for it.

Think it's pretty standard for fans to get excited when signing any talented young players. But that's an aside, the reasons have already been set out why they were essentially sacrificed. The club probably thinks another Soulé or Huijsen is just 2-3 years down the road.

huijsen didn't play and isn't ready. he didn't really need a replacement. but if it's between rugani and kalulu, i keep rugani on low wages any day over the semi expensive cripple with a bit of a potential
