I don't understand Allegri's fetish for a 4312. Ok maybe i do for last year as we had no real wingers and no natural trequartista and opted for Vidal in that role.

This year we have Cuadrado and Dybala who can play on the flanks. I think a 433 or 4321 makes more sense with the squad we have.

Perhaps we should just get another winger before the transfer market closes and then we are sorted as long as Allegri plays ball with that formation. In all honesty, even Draxler is more of a wide left player than a trequartista anyway.

This is why I am upset about the Coman-Draxler debacle. At least Coman could have been a solid option on the left flank of a 433. I would have loved to have seen Dybala and Coman behind Morata. You watch and see Guardiola play him on the left with Robben on the right and have Lewandowski up front and Muller behind them. Somehow he can find balance with that offensive line.

I wish Allegri grew some balls.

If you watch closely that is where he drifts anyway - he always seems to drift to the right. You play Cuadrado on the other flank and you have some offensive creativity right there - you just need to make sure the rest of the formation ensures balance.
