I wouldn't put it like that. I think we'd have more options surely, but both Tevez and Vidal are stronger than who we replaced them with. We could be better of course, but I doubt we're gonna see the fruit of this mercato next season.
Say we kept Pirlo/Tevez/Vidal (and didn't make many big signings this off season) I don't think we would have done as well in Europe anyway.

Last season was a perfect storm for us. A lot of things fell into place for us at the right time.

With our shift towards young, talented players with massive room for improvement, we are setting ourselves up for the next 5-6 years. And for me, I'll happily take the loss of our stalwarts for this to happen.

@Mark, any new news for Ceballos? First weeks ago it was done for Real, but doubt it now, they too stacked, even just on books. Now rumour is Roma want him? Dont tell me they take our boy? :andy2:
    they better not. no news.

Agreed, but I think we'd have bigger chances with Tevez and Vidal still here, don't you think? Last season everything ran so smooth for us, even the CL draws for example. It just wasn't meant to be, and it would be stupid to say that we failed this season just because we didn't reach the CL finals again. I am not saying that and you know it bro.

If we get Sandro and Draxler (even if I wanted someone better and more proven), it would be a very good mercato IMO. It doesn't justify the way we handled Vidal's sale, and I would still say we are weaker than last season, but in the long run, this squad can potentially be better than last season's, yes.

Settle the fvck down B, we sold our best champion attacker, best midfielder engine, and lost our orchestrating icon of a playmaker. We are the ones who need to readjust to new ways, not them. For them everything they added is just an added bonus to the team.

Vidal and Tevez are huge losses. Pirlo meh.

They are, and I didnt say Pirlo will be a huge loss, but he is more deserving then a fvcking meh, he was more use to us with us in the squad then being without him with no replacement for the kind of aspect he added, guiding the team creatively and having occasional decisive set pieces that gave us vital pts. Being less in that is still a loss, even if not a big one. Especially when his supposed replacement in the team Khedira is continuing to be the cripple he has been past 2 years off the bat with us.

I can accept selling Vidal (especially if he wanted to go) but yeah, we should have sold him for at least €45m minimum, and perhaps maybe should have sealed a couple of our transfers before we sold him.

You cant only take the signings and ignore the players who left which consist 2 WC players...
    Also
    Mandzukic good but not WC
Dybala might be WC in the future but he isnt right now
    Neto is a good SUB
Sandro is a great addition no doubt about it
Rugani is great FOR THE FUTURE
Khedira is good but not WC

We might be getting Draxler as reports say they lowered their stance on the player
I personally dont rate Draxler that much but I guess he does possess some potential

Indeed. Fuck him if he wanted to go, but first let's try and milk the other club as much as we can and as you said, sort out his replacements first.

    (If it happens)

Draxler, Alex Sandro, Dybala, Mandzukic, Khedira, Rugani and Zaza...monstrous work in the market from us. We'd be stronger than last season, definitely.
we cannot actually compare with our last season team with Pirlo, Vidal and tevez around.
2015/2016 team will be stronger in the different way, definitely different style of play and strategy etc. 1 thing for sure..it will add more speed
