There are good reasons to justify signing Vazquez, that's as true today as it was yesterday.

The difference between yesterday and today is that Palermo have come out and said they don't want to sell him.

They would sell him if we offered enough, but that statement ensures we'd have to pay a premium to get him (€25m+), and that deal is not worth it.

It's not a binary "dis guy sux/:tuttosport:"

Vazquez for €10m would be a good deal, Vazquez for €25m when Draxler is €30m wouldn't be.

Thank god, no Vasquez.

Now, funny thing is... is a club allowed to say a player is not on the market? What if Vasquez tells Zamparini he wants to go to Juventus? Hands not tied?

I wish we could have released this ourselves when reports about Vidal popped up.

It's clear we wanted to sell him too, likely we recieved an offer from Bayern, informed Vidal who intrigued and then he agreed the contract after that we sold him.

You think Bayern will contact Vidal without us being informed either by Bayern or his agent.

Either way, can't get over selling him. It's a decision from the management, of course, and I just can't agree on it.

it clearly wasnt clear we wanted to sell. everything so far indicates that Vidal requested a transfer to Bayern

How is it clear that he requested a transfer to bayern, everytime he stressed how he loves it here, how he wanted to stay at juve, love the city, love the team.....if it was about the money, he could've left last year when the EPL teams came knocking, and as far as i know he didn't even get a significant pay raise at bayern.
And Even if it's true that he wanted to leave for whatever reason, we could've blocked the deal, said no, demanded more money...demanded one of their player, started a bidding war...you can't deny that we handled this poorly and don't give me that crap that we wanted to respect the players wishes, this is a football team not a make a wish foundation.

nothing of that what happened few months ago matters. what matters is what happened the last few weeks at the time we sold him.

Juventus club policy is to not sell its star players, unless they request to leave. if we wanted to "cash in" on Vidal we would have done it last summer at the peak of his value. but thats not what this club cares about (cashing in on its stzar players to "balance the books" or to add other stars).

2 of our other star players that left this summer both wanted to leave, its quite obvious Vidal did so too, unless you lived under a rock the last few weeks or completely ignored everything that was said so far. you simply have to look at both his and Marottas press conference regarding the transfer, add 2 and 2 together and, unless you like twisting words to suit your own story, its really obvious what happened. if Vidal didnt request a transfer, hed still be here 100%

Rummenigge: "Gotze? He's tied to our club for the next two years & I think he’ll stay with us. I've a feeling they he will not leave us."

Lol, i am not the one who is twisting words, Vidal never said he wanted to leave even in PC, all Marotta said that Vidal wanted a new experience, and even if he wanted to leave, why sell him ? at such a poor price, where is his replacement ? if we didn't sell Vidal to balance the books and we expected to keep, why not use the money earned on an established AM, we already had money and add the vidal sale...
