So what you're saying is basically this...

If we bought Neymar in 2012 for 20m eur on a 4 year contract and in 2015 we sold him for only 6 million eur (despite him being worth 80m eur) we're actually making a positive economic effect of 1m eur?

Or are we strictly counting the money that go in and out for financial 2015-16?

I am Still drunk but accouting wise yes. We amortized the player over the length of the contract

That's accounting for you.

The asumption would be that most companies spread payments for long term assets, avoiding large cash outflows whithin a single year. Juve certainly operates in this way. In your example Juve would probably still have certain financial obligations to his previous club, therefore it makes sense to use residual value in determining profit.

If you could find some time and update this one, it'd be great.

And that's why nobody here cares about those mumbo jumbo creative accounting shit numbers.
It's pretty simple. If we bought players for 86.5m euro and we sold players for 67, we have a minus of 19,5m euro.
You're exactly a nobody.

Disregarding previous cash outflows is ridiculous.

http://www.calciomercato.com/news/j...i-draxler-dybala-non-e-un-trequartista-607250

I told you man, Allegri went out and said: What That Hell are you talking Marotta, Dybala isn't a playmaker.

Our manager isn't convinced of our team right now and I love that his pushing to Marotta in public with his request.

Allegri even mentioned Draxler, his not talking about a "numerical" player like Marotta did.
Thats all well and good but your translation the other day was a bit more negative in tone than what marotta said.
This isn't going against Marotta as much as saying that he doesn't feel dybala as a trequartista

It seems we will end up with Draxler, Guarin and possibly Siquiera so honestly I'm good with that

I dont understand finance..
more over for football player..

If we buy someone free...than how to amortize? Since already 0 in the first year..
well than, about "value"
What decide how much asset value with every player..intangible asset? Market will define? If so..why amortize starting from purchase prize?

I appreciate what @Alen presentation..at least give me picture that juve with marotta is that efficient..

Off course to get more precise what "accounting" actual figure for "net spend", it cant be calculated that way..

Btw 37m for vidal is good deal..haha

Ok, do not disregard them. Count it nicely and tell us the number. I claim that it's nowhere near the 60m eur you mentioned and it's much closer to my ~20m euro.
Go ahead and prove me wrong.
I already proved you wrong, since net spend in accounting terms is 60m for 2015/16 season. 20m that you posted is something entirely different and it's not even an accurate figure.

That's not really how these things work.

And the year after that the decrease from QFs to a third placed EL group stage will be a success.
The year after is not a transitional year where 3 world class players leave only one of them for any money. This year we are already demonstrating that we can spend more than what we used to spend since Conte took over. In a year we should be in an even better financial position.

The target will be scudetto + QF for a couple of years by the way unless we once again reach our objectives very early and continue over performing

Allow me to rephrase :D

I think we should have attempted to get Gotze while we were negotiating to sell Vidal to them. I don't think Gotze is worth losing both Vidal and Coman to Bayern for. Let's just give them a lump sum of cash and keep Coman.
but we did try. Bayern even allowed us to talk with Gotze and his agent. problem is, he wants to stay at Bayern, so we cant really get him
