He's not a trequartista, that's why. He''s basically a progressive CM who drifts towards an AM or slightly wider attacker. When he plays he's not a reference point for the attack, we see lots of rotating movements between him, the SS, Pogba, Vidal and involvement from the fullbacks.
Pereyra is a RW by trade, moved to CM, moved to CAM

He can be a high level Padoin for us

So assuming Llorente and Coman will leave who will be our fifth choice striker next season? I know he didn't have a great season for QPR (who did?) but if he's available I wouldn't mind taking a punt on Eduardo Vargas. I think he's got something about him plus knows Vidal well, a good old Beppe special - loan with option to buy couldn't hurt.

Our forward line will be Morata, Dybala, Mandzukic, Zaza, Jovetic/Lamela/someone

Pereyra can dribble and can deliver a good pass on the counter but I haven't seen him being able to create against a packed defense. He's a good squad player and I actually like him a lot as a CM, but he's nowhere good enough to start as a trequartista for us.

Yeah ideally we'd have the means to get a top class CAM with great vision, but if we can only get a 'decent' and/or unproven CAM then I'd rather give the guy who has already shown a lot of promise and progression at Juve a chance to see what he can do if given plenty of starts in the same role for a season. Then we can re-evaluate in 12 months time.
