London does have a nice appeal if you're a rich footballer. Only the use of this argument favoring Arsenal is a joke :facepalm2:
Yeah, would be nice if you're rich. But I lived there for a couple of years and thinks that the city is a bit dull and cold (the people, not the weather). Maybe it's because I originally come from a tropical country and used to seeing people actually smile on the street.

Who'd you bench, then?
Tevez, our MVP last season?
Morata who also had a great year and is being developed to a WC striker?
Or Dybala, our 4th most expensive player ever?
We played over 50 games this season. Hopefully that will be the case again next season. That's plenty of games for Dybala, Morata and Tevez to play in. It allows us to ease Dybala into the team like we did with Morata at the start and eventually those 3 will fight for the 2 starting spots. Competition for places is a good thing.

Except none of those players are suited to playing as the '1' in a 4-3-1-2. So Oscar's not competing with any of them.

Tevez will be gone either now or next Summer. And Dybala if he's good enough can take over from him when he goes. So yes we can Bench Dybala for 1 season if it comes to it, and yes it makes absolutely perfect sense to target a #10 when we don't have one. Oscar's not a striker, don't see how our striker situation is relevant to targeting him or players like him.

Exactly. We just got to a Champions League final playing 4312. Sure, Allegri can test out a different system to incorporate Dybala, Morata and Tevez in some Serie A games but we shouldn't ditch a successful formation just so that our new signing, who has only had one good season, can be an automatic starter. Let him earn his place over time like Morata did and if he lives up to the hype he'll be ready to take over from Tevez the following season.

I completely agree with your first sentence- and that's why I was suprised that we got Dybala instead of a number 10. But now that we already got him it just seems impossible. I just don't think we can afford to bench a 40 million player, in addition to Zaza and Berardi that we are probably getting as well, it's just too much. We aren't Bayern Munich yet.
If Oscar is suppose to be a Tevez replacement than it makes more sense, but I'm not sure that the Oscar-Dybala-Morata trio is good enough for the late stages of CL, they are very young as well.

The problem here is, a lot depends on how good Dybala turns out to be. Because for that sort of price, we're evidently expecting him to be a Tevez replacement and a long term starter for us. So if that works out, we're all set to focus on getting somebody like Oscar.

But obviously if he fails to deliver, we're back to square one.

Does Tevez' contract end in January 2017, are you using an old quote, or are you using a fake quote, Rakib?

And why is it so hard for you to remember one simple letter in Lichtsteiner's name?
