Mandzu would basically be us paying for our own player (Nando) again. I don't see it.
I don't really agree completey with that. I agree that it doesn't make a lot of sense, but in terms of how he plays, he is a lot different from Llorente.

The only real similarity is that they are both good in the air, however Llorente is better.
Mandzukic is a much more complete player particularly with respect to his defensive work rate, and off the ball movement. Llorente is more static, while Mandzukic tends to run around more. I'd also say Mandzukic is a better finisher.

Mandzukic also has a mean streak, and a tendency of being dirty.

For us, Mandzukic would probably be a more effective player than Llorente, however given his age, there's no need. Zaza could probably serve a similar role (without the dirtiness), albeit less effectively.

That being said,
if he was cheap (~10 million), I'd be all for it. Mainly because at the moment, we're considering spending on Cavani who would be absurdly expensively. Mandzukic for cheap could allow the team to bolster other parts of the squad. (Maybe get a playmaker?)

:applause:

Couldn't agree more. The only good reason to go for Cavani is if Morata is going back to Madrid. And Mandzukic for cheap is a mega bargain.

Zaza will do the job for lot less money and he may become better in the future.

If offered Mandzukic for Llorente, straight swap by Atletico, how many here would take it?
I don't know, a part of me would like to keep Llorente, he seems to be a nice guy and have a nice relationship with Morata and the rest of the team. He gave up a lot of things in order to join us. If only his wages weren't so high.

He is an extroidinary winger, can play as a trequartista, great vision, passing, great long shot all around a great player, i just love the way he plays
Yeah he's good but nothing extraordinary IMO, a winger wouldn't fit our formation. Agree with the long shots, that's my soft spot, I become a fan of anyone with great long shots. As for a trequartista we should ne looking for someone better.

Which reminds me, @Mark , would you consider that there are enough Oscar's rumors to make a thread? I was thinking of doing one, but I wasn't too sure :D
