Chelsea to sell Oscar this summer, according to reports

- - - Updated - - -

Jose Mourinho is sure to be planning further signings in an attempt to take Chelsea deeper into next season's Champions League. The club often offset major purchases by selling players at the top of their valuation, highlighted by a cool £50 million for David Luiz. Simon Jones of the MailOnline believes Oscar could be next in line to depart, linking the player with a move to Juventus and Liverpool.

Brazil coach Dunga wouldn't be adverse to seeing the versatile midfielder line up in Turin. He believes Oscar is struggling to enjoy his time at Chelsea, perhaps because he cannot hold down a first-team place. Dunga also recently revealed he recommended Oscar to Juve boss Massmiliano Allegri, per Jones:

"Brazilians like to have fun with their football, which hasn’t happened to Oscar very much recently, but I met Jose Mourinho and he spoke highly of all his Brazilian players. I tell Allegri that Oscar is strong and also a good lad.

A forward line with him, Carlos Tevez and Alvaro Morata would drive any coach crazy. It wouldn’t be a step backwards for Oscar to go to Juventus. He’d be decisive in Serie A and whether he plays for Juventus or Chelsea it’ll always be a great club."

Oscar remains an excellent all-round midfield player, perhaps surprisingly so. He is classy on the ball, energetic and ready to weave together Chelsea's moves in the final third. His defensive work has improved under Mourinho, making him a natural fit for Allegri's side.

Although Chelsea fans will most likely want him to stay, selling Oscar could free up vital funds.

That Darmian should be a first priority for us. He is young. He is Italian. He lives in Turin. He is pretty good. He can play both sides. We have aging fullbacks on both sides. Good fullbacks are rare. Barcelona, PSG and Mancity will go shopping for fullbacks soon.

Young for an Italian. He's 25. Also, he lives in Turin, because he plays for Torino, but he's a Milan youth product if I'm not mistaken. But I agree, Darmian should be a goal for us.

I don't expect much activity in defense this mercato. If Rugani isn't coming I don't see us selling Ogbonna.

We should focus on attack if Tevez is leaving..

Tak!

Evra and Lichsteiner is not getting younger, Caceres is injured a lot and Padoin can't cover all positions. Romelu should be shipped back from his loan, PDC is PDC - he's a decent "third option" I suppose but he will be injured through the seasons anyway. Asamoah will be back next season and can hopefully compete with a LB position. But I think we need at least one new fullback and someone promising. Alex Sandro is not promising (he's already a good full fledged LB) but he has many years ahead of him and would be a good signing. Unfortunately he plays with Porto hence he would be extremely expensive. Porto knows what they are doing so I would avoid signing him unless we were extremely rich. If any Porto FB then Danilo but he is off to Real Madrid. :(
Darmian would be good, he can cover both LB and RB, but he is no improvement to our current starters and will unlikely improve any further. Not sure who we should sign to be honest.

We would even be thinking about a right back if Caceres wasn't always injured, I actually prefer him there to in the middle. Less danger :D And of course Romulo can play there, same problems...

Our mercato was good in the summer, but you can't expect so many serious injuries, which is why you buy versatile players like Padoin, Pereyra (and indeed Romulo himself).
