What are the most realistic and / or best LBs we've been linked with recently? Last ones read about were Masuaku and Baba, but I've not seen much of either.
I have nothing against Asamoah at LB, but we have no idea how he'll return from his injury and Evra, despite playing well recently, is not getting any younger. I would think we're going to invest in someone younger to be a possible starter or younger bench option than Evra, even if Asa returns at 100%, especially with Mattiello's injury. If we weren't on cruise control in the league this season, our LB situation would be quite worrying with Padoin and PDC.
I want us to start using Asamoah in midfield. I think he will really shine if given more chances to play CM. Eventually Pirlo will no longer be a starter so it will be good to have Asamoah in the rotation with Machisio, Vidal and Pogba.
Tevez case is the same as Juan Sebastian Veron, he returned to Argentina at 31 to play with Estudiantes de la Plata and won 2 league titles and 1 copa libertadores.
Tevez wants to return to Boca while he is capable of winning trophies not just to retire and play his last games.

Asa's very solid defensively, but his crosses are a bit lacking. Buying a proper full back who can cross would be nice. But if we're going to spend a lot of money on a marquee attacking player, I wouldn't mind Asa starting at LB.
@Robee: Like I said, we don't know what Falcao could potentially cost so he could very well be a bargain and if we got a fraction of his form back he would be devastating IMO.
