I agree that we have better depth and we could be faster without Pirlo but Pirlo is surely not a liability
He organizes the game and Marchisio as much as you love him isnt Pirlo in this aspect so yes it will be a huge loss in that aspect

you can´t compare marchisio and pirlo like that. with marchisio we have much more defensive stability and our other midfielders (including a possible AM) will have much more freedom to attack.

Also as I specifically wrote I meant in the next season and not future seasons... and only starting 11... in terms of being better we need:
1. Marchisio to do a great job organizing the team - (would be ok but I dont expect him to be Pirlo like on a consistent basis)
2. Pogba to be consistent and help Marchisio as well as go forward shooting and passing (this could happen)
3. Dybala to perform near Tevez level (very doubtful about it)
4. Morata to play at least at the same level (This I can see happening and even expect better)
5. Khedira to be at his best ever form so he could try to make up for the defensive loss from losing Vidal (Dont think there is someone who can do Vidal`s job as good or near as good as Vidal does)
6. Our so called number 10 should it be Gotze Draxler or whoever comes.. needs to be a revelation and up his game (the big question)
With all those happening I can see us being a better team
Without those you can kiss CL final goodbye

As for future seasons yes I agree it could be very important but could also backfire

This seasons IMO: Morata and Mandzu will have 20goals each in average.Dybala will have more than 10,Zaza will score more than 5,Coman will add few.
So,you get a more balanced attack,not heavily dependent on 1 player(Tevez) and in summary scores more.(i predict 60+ goals combined)

So no Dybala doesn't need to perform Tevez level.
Because our overall attack line will be more balanced and less 1 player dependent.

And @frzl explained again why we are better with Marchisio than Pirlo.

Nope I didnt ignore it!
Attack is much more than just scoring goals
Its about creating the whole thing+assists+goals I mean the whole contribution
and yes Manzukic will probably score more than Llorente but its not as we play with 18 men against 18...
When you play a team like Real or Barca if you want to give them a run for their money you need the best 11 possible so it will be much more effective having Tevez Morata and Llorente than Dybala and Mandzukic Morata and Zaza
A player like Tevez can really change a game like this!
Dybala for now is a gamble - he could have an amazing season scoring 30 goals and 30 assists (highly unlikely though) he could contribute as much as Tevez did but he could also develope slowly or not develope as fast as possible

As much as we know Marotta it was one POSITIVE press conference imo.
Did not deny anything,on a contrary said we're after 2 players,1 who will be high quality to fit the needs.
And Alegrri only made all points stronger.

Slow your role gentleman we will be fine. Last year could have been just another season if just a few things didnt go our way. Yes we lost Tevez which is huge and Vidal which is a bigger loss as far as talent but not in importance to our team. Pirlos oganization will be lost. The team will be different and the more we get in our attack the more consistant we will be in the CL. Pogba will be better than last year,Dybala will add some creativity as well as a new number 10 or Peryra if he starts. Moratta will be a force next year for sure. Remember he wasnt great all season long so there is no reason to believe he cant be the main guy for us this season with some help. Also I think he is best when he is a little more free. We dont need much to be a competitive team this season in every game so hopefully we improve in those areas and get this show on the road

Yep. We lowered the age of the squad significantly. I think the club is looking at this long term (looking at the young players we are bringing in). I am fairly certain in 2-3 years time when the Dyabal/Rugani/Stuaro/maybe even Pogba's get more mature and developed we will have a nasty squad to play against. Pretty sure we have enough quality to dominate in Italy for another couple years but we took this opportunity with all the money we made to go ahead and sign the top young talent with CL in mind in 2 years or more. I don't think the club is looking at the CL Final as a goal this year because it would have been more difficult IMO.

But all the strikers we bought would have had more playing time than everyone of our forwards last season except for Tevez.
