he has high wages for what he offers.

we cant find a good players at that position we need to a new play maker if we lose pirlo
khedira is not a play maker, secondly he has been out of the game so long taking a risk with his big wages would be somewhat foolish and lastly even if Pirlo leaves it doesn't mean we have to replace him, the dynamics of our midfield will change slightly but Marchisio has proven to fill this role well enough this season

But we're paying no transfer fee so that negates his wages.
nah, it´s not that easy :D. he would probably want a ~4-year-contract and a decent sign-up-fee...
still i could see him doing really well here if he overcomes his injury problems. solid, solid player.

having said that, i expect him to get absolutely slaughtered around here ^^.

His wage demands are high, thats why
ive read Schalke will go for him, doubt the wages would be a problem if no big teams are interested (strange that he already didnt find a new club). having said that, i dont really care if we sign him or not. if we do ill think fine, good player for free. if not then we didnt need him anyway...

Besides his injury problem, people are actually questioning Khedira's quality? :howler:

Would have an expensive signing-on fee/wages, and would be a bit of overkill for us again in midfield, but when fit, he is a seriously quality player.

REgardless of him being free our he cost too much in wages for him to be extreemly injury prone and I don't see why we would need him. Marchisio is world class and a midfield trio of Pogba-Marchisio-Vidal is amazing.

We have Marchisio, Pogba, Vidal, Sturaro, Marrone(probably be sold), Romulo(will leave), Pirlo(could leave), Padoin, Pereyra, Asamoah

So to begin the mercato we will most likely have Marchisio, Pogba, Vidal, Padoin, Pereyra, Sturaro, Asamoah. Unless we get another lb, Asamoah will stay in that role. So that leaves us with 6 cms for 4 positions excluding the purchase of a attacking midfielder. One more cm should be good enough and if anyone it should be Allan because of his age and the fact that he will cost almost nothing in wages.

"when fit"

And he'd be quality, but not worldclass by any means. Not worth the risk, especially seeing as a we're quite stacked at the CM department.

One thing can be said though; everyone is monitoring Brazilian talents and they don't need to prove much before somebody will offer a deal. Look at Oscar, he was like 18 when Chelsea bought him? And for a very high price as well. He featured for Brazil A like 2-3 times, right?

If our local scouts have had eyes on this kid for a while and suggest we make an enquiry I say it's a risk worth taking. In a year his price could go sky rocket and we'd be out of the race forever..
Oscar had at least 2 seasons playing for the pros and was already one of the best players of the country, it's different.

No one really knows how this kid will fare among the pros
