I don't doubt what you are saying is true, but I'm not talking about signing random kids, we are past that point now. If players would rather stay at a club like Schalke than potentially join Juventus then that's a lack of ambition, if the decision came down to that, which is what we are hypothesising.
But not Draxler, Meyer or Goretzka..these r players I follow since they r 15-16 and they always had good offers..ALWAYS.

All three has been linked to Bayern in recent years. Goretzka for example was wanted by ALL top clubs, before he went to Schalke: Bayern, Real, United, Arsenal, Serie A..u name it (he came from Bochum and needed to finish school so Schalke was perfect cos close to Bochum).

Draxler is reported to have a buyout-clause. 42,5m€ and he is urs. I dont know, if this amount decreases by time..maybe its less now or maybe its still 40m+. There were rumours last summer, that Arsenal were willing to trigger that clause, but that Bayern intervented and told him to wait for them. cant confirm if its 100% true, but I wouldnt be surprised. I agree with R.A.B, that Draxler has stagnated lately..season 2013/2014 was bad and this year he was injured most of the time..hard to justify such an amount of money. He undoubtfully has huge talent though and I see him a better fit than Reus for Bayern as a left winger, cos he is the better dribbler and is also very versatile...younger and less wage..taller so maybe also useful as a striker and Lewandowski backup. I compare him to the young van Persie.

Meyer has been a Bayern fan in his youth and his playing style is similar to Götze..he has always been very coveted and he could be also an option for Barca. He is aware of his potential and he is also reported to have a buyout-clause. He can choose from many top clubs, if he decides to move.

All these players ll leave Schalke one day..that is not the question..but they ll wait for the perfect moment when their dream club comes knocking..they dont get wet pants when Juve and Co. coming along.

i donno about those..why would monchengladbach sell to the highest bidder ?..i think bvb were the only one who wanted him. anyways water under the bridge..
He had a buyout clause of 18 so how can there be a bidding war? Its well reported, that Bayern and Real wanted him, but he chose his homeclub Dortmund, cos he would just have been a bench warmer for the other 2 clubs.

Obviously there r several clubs interested to sign Gündogan this summer. There were strong rumours about him having agreed to move to United for around 30m€, but these reports were rubbished by Dortmund. They have offered him a finalised contract and he has to decide to take it or not. If he doesnt take that offer, then he ll be sold for sure.

SZ reporting, that Juve and Bayern also interested in his signature: http://www.sueddeutsche.de/sport/borussia-dortmund-guendogans-schweigen-1.2453575

Other reports saying both Madrid clubs and Arsenal entered the race to sign him too: http://www.spox.com/de/sport/fussba...gan-wechsel-united-atletico-teal-arsenal.html

Cant see him going to Bayern, but the rest seems to be open.

Only if we sell Vidal or Pogba, don't see him joining if we don't sell one of our starter CM's first.
Or we are really thinking about giving Pirlo a backup role next season.
A AMC and Sturaro should be enough, maybe it will depend what we will do with Asamoah, move him back to CM or not

I think Licht's late form is worrying, not sure we can rely only on him for next season.
Caceres will be back, but imo we should look for a new not super expensive RB.
Realistically the options for RB imo : Vrsaljko(Sass),Widmer(Udinese),Zappacosta(Atalanta) and Darmian a much harder and expensive move.

Darmian is a long-term solution and a quality player. I'd sign him with my eyes closed. Can also do a job as LB, so he's ideal. 15-20 mil well spent.

I think its evident that we need more capable fullbacks cause you have evra who has been superb this seaaon but then when padoin is your alternative its just awful.

Digne/kurzawa for lb and darmian/vrsjalko/zappacosta/widmer for rb

A mercato consisting of

Rugani
Neto
Darmian/vrsaljko/widmer/zappacosta
Digne/kurzawa
Dybala
Zaza/other back up cf

Should not be seen as impossible cause honestly this mercato could be a 1000x better but this is what we need to improve the team

Why would we take Ranocchia? Weaken our own team, give Inter money and allow them to improve their defence with our money?

Closet Inter fans, Closet Inter fans everywhere.
1st Ranocchia would come for free (if he doesent renew with Inter in meantime)
2nd hes better than Ogbonna for sure
3rd we should only consider him if Rugani doesent want to come here
and 4th this...

Thats why I want him. It could be like the cannavaro scenario again (on a lower scale ofcoarse) and the potential bragging rights alone are worth the risk.
+ would leave Inter for us for free when they paid 19M for him AND while being their captain. imagine if he succeeds here, the butthurt among inter and their fans

Weiser has made a 'big' step this year..Sammer and others explicitiy told about his change in behaviour and professionalism since the start of this season. The 1st years have been a disappointment, cos he didnt show his potential and didnt behave like a true professional. More like the opposite..he was regarded as a spoilt wannabe, who didnt set his priorities right.

Guardiola has given him some opportunities this season, especially after the winter break, to show what he is capable of and he mostly didnt disappoint..nothing really special, but solid performances and he got better with time. IMO the board would be very stupid to not sign an extension with him. The media always keep on saying that the contract wont be renewed, but they r clueless as always. The Bayern officials keep on saying, that the talks about an expension ll be hold at the end of the season. Maybe they dont value him enough though..can always happen with this bunch as u could witness with the Kroos saga. The board is doing an amazing job most of the times, but when Weiser wont get a new contract and ll go on a Bosman, then I ll be angry again and wouldnt understand such incompentence. There r not many good RB and Weiser could develop into a very good one, as he is fast with good technique..his defensive awareness and stability is the negative, but nothing that he could learn and improve on within the next years.
i expected him to stay at Bayern for quite some time tbh, didnt even know his contract is running out, i was surprised when i found out they could lose him. but as you said, after letting Kroos go, i dont know what to expect from their management.

anyway, wouldnt mind if we sign him, as i wanted us to sign a promising german player for a while now...

Zaza/Berardi id rather bring him back than Zaza, but if the management does otherwise, then im OK with it. if we cant get Dybala then both Zaza and Berardi should be bought

@Fint

In all seriousness, Padoin has put in more than decent performances this season, he's proven to actually be really good for our 3rd choice fullback (after Evra/Asamoah or Licht/Caceres).

I do agree that we should target a fullback though, preferably some relatively cheap prospect who's perhaps not quite ready yet. We've still got 1-2 seasons of Licht & Evra left, but after that we should have a replacement ready that's at least capable of challenging Asamoah or Caceres for the starter spot.

Darmian would be awesome, but I reckon he'll go abroad.

We paid 15M for Ogbonna.

How much do you think they'll ask for Darmian?

He isn't coming for less than 25M I'd say. They'd rather sell for 20M out of Italy.

I don't think we're getting him.

Zappacosta would be much more realistic.

But anyway I don't see Paratici and Marotta signing no full back at all again. We'll go with the current 4 next season.

- - - Updated - - -

I think that what will happen in mercato is, realistically (not what I want, but what I think Marotta and Paratici want):

OUT
Ogbonna 7M
Llorente 10M
Isla loan 1M
Matri / Pepe / Romulo free
Coman / Marrone loan
Gabbiadini half 6M
Berardi half 7M

TOTAL: 31M from sales + 35M from club = around 66M to spend.

IN
Rugani half 4M
Pereyra 15M
Dybala 30M
Zaza 7M (7M half exchanged for half Berardi)
cheap old washed up striker for the 5th striker (Gilardino type)
10M for another piece - CM or AM. Let's say Praet people say so much.

We'll start next season with:

Buffon - Litch, Bonucci, Chiellini, Asamoah - Pirlo - Pogba, Vidal, Marchisio - Tevez, Morata

bench: Storari, Caceres, Rugani, Barzagli, Evra - Padoin - Sturaro, Pereyra, Praet - Dybala, Zaza

+ De Ceglie, old shitty washed up 5th striker

That's not a great improvement, if there is improvement at all. But that's the direction I think they are going. After 2015-16, then there will be an important change - Evra, Pirlo, Tevez, maybe even Pogba leaving. I could also see Chiellini becoming a permanent backup during next season for Rugani/Barzagli.

But I don't expect changes in the lineup for next season. Dybala will start as a bench player and I just can't imagine Allegri benching Pirlo, ever.

As much as much as don't want to be a dick, who's to say that the likes of Real, Bayer, and Barca are sniffing around for the cream de la cream of German talent. In case of Bayer, yea due to the duo of Robbery not getting any younger so they go for the likes of Draxler and Meyer, and even then all three could go for cheaper talent who are on par with them. There's also the likes of Chelsea and Shitty who can and often times will pay the asking price of the likes of Schalke.
