bonera is one of the best defender in italy i think

A young centre half is a must. Personally I'd go for Luis Perea (At. Madrid), Andrea Barzagli (Palermo), Vincent Kompany (Anderlecht) or Gonzalo Rodriguez (Villarreal). As for right back, Maicon of Monaco if we want someone who can get forward or Palermo's Cristian Zaccardo if a stay at home defensive full back will do.

I'd feel a bit insecure with Mancini and Zambrotta as my full backs. Both of them love to get involved in the attacks and neither of them are exceptional defensive players. Gianluca has improved defensively since Capello's arrival but IMO full back just isn't the right position for Mancini. He's much better in midfield.

I disagree. Bonera had one very good season two or three years ago but has been mediocre since then. He's decent at best.
