Pescara chief Giovanni Stroppa has admitted his team will be in for a tough evening when Juventus travel to the Stadio Adriatico on Saturday.
Speaking at a pre-match press conference in Abruzzo, Stroppa said: “We’ll go into the encounter as underdogs, against one of the strongest sides in the world. I’m after great attention and drive from my team, even if we know that it might not be enough.
“We’ll be under the cosh but over the course of the 90 minutes there will also be moments in which we could give them cause for concern – these need to be capitalised on.”
The 44-year-old also found time to speak glowingly of Antonio Conte’s achievements during his tenure at Juventus.
“I’d like to congratulate Antonio Conte, he’s transformed his team in order to best suit the characteristics of the players at his disposal. He was considered to be a staunch 4-2-4 man, instead he’s found the right formula and the team encapsulates the never-say-die attitude he had as a player.”
