This part of the rules is being broken all over the place.

You can pick any player you want but do you think defenders will score more?

Why would your points double?

The probability for a defender to score is much less

NESTA - 5 pts x 2 = 10 x 2 = 20 pts
Inzaghi - 4 pts x 1 = 4 pts
Torres - 3 pts x 1 = 3 pts
LUCIO - 2 pts x 1 = 2 x 2 = 4 pts
Henry - 1 pts x 0 = 0 pts

Read the rules. It doesn't matter what position the player plays.

no it wont, you will just end up with no points because the probability of picking a the right defender to score a goal on the right matchday are so incredibly slim you wouldnt do it. Most defenders only score 10-15 tops in a 20 year career, unless they are someone like Alves who scores an occasional freekick or maldini who played for 25 years. Id suggest picking some attacking players, if you were betting would you pick a defender who is 100-1 to score or cristiano ronaldo who is 6-1?

The bigger problem though is identifying who is a defender and who isn't. De Ceglie for example, plays as both LB and LM. I don't watch all the matches to know if a player played in a particular position.
