Strange problem (2 Viewers)

I hope I can explain it correctly.
The problem is that when I use http://www.juventuz.com I get the juventuz site that was last updated on 13.02.2006, main page and forum (so I see no new topics that have been opened since then). That was, I guess, the day the site went down (because of a DoS attack right?) Anyway, since I was able to get on the forum again, I made a few posts that apparently "got posted" (I now know they didn't, yet I could see them).

Now I found it to be very weird that noone else posted here, so I made a post on the xtratime forum asking about it. They said that the forum was as active as ever. So I went on my dads pc (which is a mac, don't know if that matters) and typed in http://www.juventuz.com and to my surprise I could see that the forum was active again, yet I couldn't see any of the new posts on this pc.

Now as an act of despiration, I typed in http://juventuz.com on this pc, and I got the updated site and forum. Does anyone know how this could happen? Is this because of the DoS attack?

Just checked and it seems the site came back up on 23.02, I was only able to connect to the site again on 12.03

maybe you checked the "Invisible Mode" in your profile which allows you to browse the forums without appearing in the 'Currently Active Users' lists

Did you ever edit your host file on that PC .. might still be pointing at the old server. If you have any entries in your host file (WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\) .. delete them and then save your host file. You might need to flush your DNS too.

I can't remember ever editing my host file, but deleting the entries cleared everything up. So thank you very much Keith.:toast:
