Marco Storari has encouraged the Bianconeri to push on from Saturday night’s emphatic triumph over Udinese by replicating the spirit which led them to last season’s Scudetto glory.
In an exclusive interview with Sky Sport Italia, the Juventus custodian said: “Napoli and Lazio will be hot on our heels all the way. It will be difficult for us to reclaim the title, but we’ll give it everything we’ve got to get there, just as we did last season.”
The conversation then turned to yesterday evening’s matchwinner Paul Pogba, who put Juventus on their way to a resounding success with a sensational double from outside the area.
And Storari insists the attitude displayed by the French talent meant he was always destined for great things.
The 35-year-old continued: “Paul is a young player, but has impressed us from the very start. He’s done well ever since he arrived, he’s worked hard and I think he represents a great investment for the club.
“He had the chance to show what he could do against Udinese and snatched it with both hands. Scoring the type of goals he did in a game isn’t easy. He’s a serious lad and I would like to take the opportunity to offer my congratulations, because there aren’t many youngsters around like him.”
