Gamestop to report earnings after close today. Whether it enters orbit or falls to the Earth's core, the memes are going to be amazing :D

Maybe I shouldn't be, but I'm surprised by the level of cult bullshit that it has become. It's pretty much QAnon levels at this point. In fact, it's almost exactly like that. Invisible big enemy working in the shadows and attacking the collective little guy, supposedly. Price drops? "grrr invisible hedge fund short ladder attack!!!11!". I guess it's just human nature. It sucks though because these dumbasses are now all over anything online having to do with the stock market.

I genuinely thought QS was going places, but today's news that it's plans to produce batteries in 2023 is a big blow, reckon VW will pull out and only way is down now.

Everything is just a sea of red again. I bought some QQQ calls for June but already down a lot. This market is pretty much untradeable right now. Fuck Biden, he needs to learn how to prop up a market like big daddy Trump.

    Why do you think so?
They are actually planning to double the output that year from previous estimates.
VW also doubled down on QS in their recent Power day, so I do not think they are backing down.
Solid state batteries could be a very big step in the EVolution, and QS seem to have some of the most robust tech in development right now. Do not expect huge volumes in near future though as battery tech is very tricky.

It’s pure speculation at this point. The company’s stock is inherently worthless if you look at the financials. But never underestimate the irrationality of the market......
Almost anything is pure speculation at this point as ECB and FED seem pretty happy to pump money into the financial markets, which will be then recycled through stocks, bonds, gold, crypto, NTFs, unicorns and tulips and only small fraction will be used in productive activities.
And people wonder why there is no inflation...There is, but not in traditional sense and measured with outdated tools...

Some more than others. You have companies with 25-30% net profit margins barely seeing any stock growth while money burning companies have 500-1000% price increase.
I fall within the school of value investing, but what you may find valuable, the market will likely not. (Which is why you have absurd P/E for companies like Tesla). At this point, I've given up on individual stocks almost entirely, the only ones I go for are long cap companies with good dividend payout. I mainly just go for ETFs and mutual funds.

Despite the economic crisis, this is still the good time to invest in Stocks, Gold and Crypto.

The cult bullshit is definitely prevalent in wsb, but there is good DD out there that there still in it. The Stock crashed 40% on march 10th and retail ownership increased by 0.2% in the same period. Call it what you will, but the stock is heavily manipulated and Im in it till it moons or goes under my GAV.

Well, that was fucking stupid. I was up like 20% on the day because of my QQQ and LULU calls, both of which I'm holding for a while, but of course the market sold off at the end of the day before Biden's speech. Can this market stop being so Schizo and just calmly go up without massive reversals all the time? Jesus fuck.

I assume you're talking GME. The rumor that GME will go to 1000 because hedge funds shorted ten billion shares against it via "Dark Pool" trading assumes that 1) these are actual shares they shorted and 2) firms like Citadel are crazy enough to continue holding their massive short position knowing they could get squeezed to 1000. My initial thought is neither are likely true, but who knows. Something like that would obliterate Citadel to the point where the markets crash because they own billions worth of other stuff they would have to liquidate. So yeah, doubtful. Doesn't mean it still can't go up again to retest the highs.
